CONDITIONAL TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until 7th Feb., 1873, from persons desirous of constructing a bridge over the Clutha River at the Beaumont, in terms of conditions to be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Tuapeka, on and after the 15th instant.
WANTED Tenders by the Peninsula Road Board for the following works:-
NORTH-WEST HARBOR Subdivision.--For repairing wall and clearing slips on Beach road; altering and metalling No. 1 and repairing No. 2 Roads.
Specifications for the first to be seen at Mr Hooper's, and for second and third at Mr Stuart's. Messrs Hunter & Hooper will meet intending contractors at the house of the latter at 11 o'clock on the 18th instant, and Messrs Stuart and Hooper will also meet contractors at the house of Mr Roger on the same day at 1 o'clock.
HIGHCLIFFE Subdivision.--For procuring and breaking one hundred and twenty-six (126) cubic yards metal for road leading off No. 1.
Specifications to be seen at the residence of Mr Waugh. Messrs Tinnoek and Waugh will meet contractors at the house of the former, on the 20th instant at 1 o'clock.
ANDERSON'S BAY Subdivision.--For metalling fourteen (14) chains of District Road; also cutting and filling up road line from the residence of Mr F. Grainger to said district road.
Specifications may be seen at the house of Mr Somerville. Works to be shown by Messrs Somerville and Scott on the 23rd instant at 1 o'clock, meeting at the residence of the former.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender Peninsula Road Board," and lodged with the clerk, or, if more convenient, with any of the members of the board, not later than the 1st day of February next, at 11 o'clock a.m.

RUNS FOR SALE.
MONDAY, 3rd day of February, 1873, at noon.
NOTICE is hereby given, that pastoral leases for 10 years, of the following Runs, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon.
Run No. 328, situated on the Waikaia River, contains 35,800 acres, about 3000 acres of which are agricultural lands, about 5000 acres are bush, the rest is rough hilly country.
The rental will be an assessment on not less than 8500 sheep. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, when the balance of the first year’s assessment will be payable.
Run No. 359, situated at Nokomai, at the head of the Nevis, contains 15,000 acres, is composed principally of rough country.
The rental will be 7d per head on 3750 sheep. The lease will commence on the 3rd day of February, 1873.
Run No. 432, situate at the head of the Nevis River, at Nokomai, containing 9500 acres rough pastoral country. The lease will commence on the date of sale, and the rent will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 1000 sheep, that being the minimum number the run is estimated to carry.
The sale will be in terms of the Otago Waste Land Act 1872. The upset premium in each case will be one half-penny per acre of the estimated area of the run. A deposit of 1-10th part of the premium and of the first year’s rent will be payable on the fall of the hammer, and the balance within a month, except for Run 328, when the balance will be payable on the 26th February, 1874.
The rent or assessment will be payable, after the first year, on the 1st day of October of each succeeding year.
The runs will be leased for a period of ten years, terminable during that time, without compensation, by the lessor giving 12 months notice.
The agricultural land as delineated on the plans to be seen at this office, to be resumable at any time without notice or compensation.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 2 of 13, 14, 17, and 18, Block III, Otokia District, containing respectively 31a 3r 35p, 190a 0r 32p, 144a 1r 16p, and 110a 1r 3p, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 27th January next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.
