NOTICE.—It has been resolved by the Board that the works proposed to be undertaken during the current year shall be as follows:—

STRAYED from West Taieri, chestnut mare, branded S K on near hind shoulder. Any person bringing the same to Peacock Hotel, Princes street; or to Mr Snow, West Taieri, will receive two pounds reward.

IMPOUNDED on the 10th day of January, 1873, by Mr. Lachlan M’Lean—
One red and white heifer, branded like JC off rump;
One red and white bullock, J-S off rump;
One strawberry steer, red neck, WS off rump;
One blue and white steer, WS off rump;
One red steer, C or G off rump;
One red bullock, white flanks, dot in circle near rump;
One strawberry bullock, snaily horns, JC near rump;
One strawberry steer, red ears, WS near rump;
Owners unknown; for trespassing on Bellamy Run, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Lawrence, on Friday, the 31st day of January, 1873, at twelve o’clock noon.

REWARD.—Lost, on the 30th December, from Mornington, black horse, with long tail, blaze on face, white hind legs, lame on off hind leg. Finder will receive the above reward on returning same to Mr Muir, Mornington.

MATAU ROAD DISTRICT.

THE ratepayers of the above-named District are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates for current year to the undersigned on or before the 20th day of January, 1873, after which date all unpaid rates will be recovered in a summary way without further notice. By order of the Board.

HALF-WAY BUSH ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS.—The undersigned, Collector for the Half-way Bush Road Board, will attend at the Post-office, Half-way Bush, on Saturday next, the 18th January inst., between the hours of 3 and 6 in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving the Highway Rate for the current year, due in respect of the Wakari and Flagstaff Subdivisions, same comprising the above-named district.

LYNDHURST ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE.

THE Lyndhurst Road Board have agreed to levy a general rate of 1s. in the £ on all rateable property within the district, and also a special rate of 1s. in the £ on each of the subdivisions of Myross and Mabel.

Copies of the rate roll will lie for the inspection of ratepayers at the Schoolhouse, Grove Bush, and Mr. J. Culvert’s. Objections (if any) to be laid before a meeting of the Board, which will be advertised.

NOTICE.—Those ratepayers in the Peninsula Road District, whose assessment has been altered, objecting to the said alterations, must state their objections in writing and lodge them with the clerk not later than the 31st January instant, at 12 o’clock noon, and appear in behalf of their objections at the office of the Board, Highcliff, on the 1st day of February next at 2 o’clock p.m.

NOTICE.—The Lyndhurst Road Board have agreed to levy a general rate of 1s. in the £ on all rateable property within the district, and a special rate of 1s. in the £ on each of the Subdivisions of Myross and Mabel. The rate roll will lie for the inspection of ratepayers at the Schoolhouse, Grove Bush, and at the house of J. Culvert.

A copy of the roll for the Waimuma Subdivision will also lie at Mr McGibbon’s, Mataura Bridge.

A meeting of the Board for the purpose of hearing objections will be held at the Half-way Bush, on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 1 o’clock.

NOTICE is hereby given by the Blueskin Road Board of their intention of making, on the 28th day of January, 1873, a general highway rate for the current year of 1s. in the £ on all the rateable property within the district; and that a statement of the proposed rate is deposited for inspection by the ratepayers at the Toll-house, Blueskin, and at the house of Mr. James Baird, in the Deborah Bay Subdivision of the said district.

Parties who have not paid their rates for the year 1872-3, are requested to take notice that I shall attend at the Brighton Post Office, from 2 to 6 p.m., on Friday the 7th February, 1873, to receive rates; and further notice is given, that immediate proceedings will be taken to recover rates in all cases of neglect or non-payment.
