NOTICE is hereby given that sections 44 and 46, block II, Waikouaiti District, containing respectively 6a 37p and 24a 2r 32p; sections 16 and 90, block I, Wai-kouaiti District, containing 85a 1r 39p and 30a; section 82, block XI, Hawksbury District, containing 162a 39p; sections 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, block IX, Hawksbury District, containing 221a 1r 35p, 224a, 151a 1r, 143a 2r, 5p, 116a 0r 29p, 205a 1r 30p, 303a 0r 37p—will be offered for sale by public auction at the Courthouse, Hawksbury, on Wednesday, the 22nd day of January next, immediately after the Town Land Sale there on that day, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

NOTICE is hereby given that sections 1 of 24, 2 of 24 and 25, block III, Kaitangata District, containing respectively 108a 40a, and 137a 1r 39p, and section 2 of 35, block III, Kaitangata District, containing 48a 3r 1p will be offered for sale by auction at Mr Capstick’s auction rooms, Tokomairiro, on Monday, the 20th day of January next, after the Town Land Sale on that date, at the upset price of 10s per acre.
RUNS FOR SALE, 20th January, 1873.
NOTICE is hereby given that Pastoral Leases for 10 years of the following Runs will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon.
Run No. 303, situated on the west bank of the Waiau river, opposite its junction with the Wairaki river. Contains 15,200 acres, 6,200 acres of which are fairly grassed land (including 1800 acres agricultural), 6,000 acres ferny land, and 3,000 acres of bush. The rental will be an assessment of 7d. per head on 4,300 sheep, that being the minimum number the run is estimated to carry. Possession of this run will be given to a new tenant on the 16th January, 1874, when the lease will commence and the proportion of the first year’s assessment will be payable.
Run No. 350 is situated on the west shore of Lake Wakatipu, having the Greenstone river as its northern and the Von river as its southern boundary. Contains 46,000 acres, 20,000 of which are grassed land (including 700 acres agricultural), 15,000 acres ferny land partly grassed, 5,000 acres with little grass, and 6,000 acres of bush. The rental will be 7d. per head on 14,250 sheep. The lease will commence 26th Feb., 1874, when the first year’s rent will be payable.
Run No. 394 is situated on the east shore of Lake Te Anau, and is intersected by the Eglinton river. Contains 29,000 acres, 9,000 of which are fairly grassed land (including 3,000 acres agricultural), 18,000 ferny land, and 2,000 acres bush. The rental will be at the rate of 7d. per head on 8,100 sheep. The lease will commence on 26th day of February, 1874, when the proportion of the first assessment will be payable.
Run No. 441 is situated on the west bank of the Waiau river, between Lakes Manipori and Te Anau. Contains 2,600 acres, 1,000 acres of which are open country, 1,600 being covered with scrub and bush. The rental will be an assessment of 7d. per head on 375 sheep. The lease will commence on the 20th January, 1873, when the proportion of the first year’s rent will be payable.

Run 442 is situated on the west shore of Te Anau lake, on a promontory jutting out into the lake, and is bounded on the west by Te Anau bush. Contains 2000 acres, and is composed of scrub and grass country, and is estimated to carry 250 sheep. The lease will commence on the 20th January, 1873, when the proportion of the first year’s rent will be payable.
Run 443 is situated on the west ford of Te Anau lake. Contains 82,000 acres, 18,000 acres of which are fairly grassed land, 30,000 acres of high summer country, and the rest of bush. The rental will be an assessment of 7d. per head on 5,300 sheep, the minimum number the run is estimated to carry. The lease will commence on the 20th January, 1873, when the proportion of the first year’s rent will be payable.
The sale will be in terms of the “Otago Waste Land Act 1872.” The upset premium in each case will be one half-penny per acre of the estimated area of the run. A deposit of 1-10th part of the premium will be payable on the fall of the hammer, and the balance within a month. The rent or assessment will be payable after the first year on the 1st day of October of each succeeding year. The Runs are to be leased for a period of 10 years terminable during that time, without compensation, by the lessor giving 12 months’ notice.
The agricultural land as delineated on the plans to be seen at this office, to be resumable at any time without notice or compensation.

RUNS FOR SALE.
MONDAY, 3rd day of February, 1873, at noon.
NOTICE is hereby given, that pastoral leases for 10 years, of the following Runs, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon.
Run No. 328, situated on the Waikaia River, contains 35,800 acres, about 3,000 acres of which are agricultural lands, about 5,000 acres are bush, the rest is rough hilly country. The rental will be an assessment on not less than 8,500 sheep. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, when the proportion of the first year’s assessment will be payable.
Run No. 359, estimated at Nokomai, at the head of the Nevis, contains 15,000 acres, is composed principally of rough country. The rental will be 7d per head on 3,750 sheep. The lease will commence on the 3rd day of February, 1873, when the proportion of the first year’s rent will be payable.

Run No. 432, situate at the head of the Nevis River, at Nokomai, containing 9,600 acres rough pastoral country. The lease will commence on the date of sale, and the rent will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 1,000 sheep, that being the minimum number the run is estimated to carry. A proportional part of the first year’s rent will be payable on the day of sale.
