Contract No. 676—Supply and Spreading of 200 cubic yards of road metal on road Southern Trunk to Hogg’s Bridge.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Balclutha.

KURI BUSH Road Board.—Tenders wanted for repairing and maintaining road to Kuri Bush, from Main Road, Otakia, to a point near Quayle’s Hill.
Specifications may be seen at Mr Kirby’s, Kuri, Reliance hotel, and White House hotel.
Tenders to be sent addressed, Chairman Kuri Bush Road Board, Post Office, Otakia, not later than noon of Friday, 15th November, 1872.

Tenders will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 15th November, 1872, for about 4 cwt. old brass.

WAIPORI Road Board.—Tenders wanted for the formation of Roads in the Waihola West District.
A deputation of the Board will meet with intending contractors at the Goal House, Waihola, on Saturday, the 16th November, at one p.m., to point out the works and give all necessary information.

OUTRAM Road District.—Tenders are invited by the Board of the above District for gravelling Hastie’s and Granton Road Lines.
Specifications may be seen at Snow Bros’. Store, Outram.
Tenders to be sent in to the Chairman of the Board on or before Saturday, the 16th inst. at noon.—D. GRANT, Surveyor to the Board.
GREY Road District.—Tenders wanted for metalling about 40 chains of the district road in the Saddle Hill subdivision.
Specifications lie at the house of Mr. Wm. Jaffray, Saddle Hill Park.
Mr. Jaffray will point out the portions of the road proposed to be metalled to intending contractors on Wednesday, 13th November, at 2 o’clock p.m.

WAKARI District School, near Dunedin.—Applications will be received by the Wakari School Committee till Monday, the 18th November next, from persons qualified to fill the offices of Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress for said School.
The Master’s salary will be the usual Government allowance of £100, and three-fifths of the School Fees; and the Schoolmistress’ salary the Government allowance of £60, and one-fifth of the School Fees.
Attached to the School are a five-roomed dwelling-house, garden, and 10 acres of land fenced and laid down in English grass.
This School—one of the oldest in the Province—has had an average attendance of 120 scholars for the last three years.
A Schoolmistress who can teach music preferred.
Applications, with testimonials, to be made to Mr. George Hepburn, Chairman, or to Mr. Colin Allan, Secretary to School Committee.
WANTED, a Teacher for the Balclutha School.
To a party fully qualified to teach the usual branches of education taught in the Government Schools of the province, a salary of £200 guaranteed for the first year.
Applications, with testimonials or references, to be made on or before the 15th current, to John M. Russell, Clerk of the Committee. Balclutha, 2nd November, 1872.
APPLICATION for an Auctioneer’s License.—A meeting will be held in the Government Offices at noon on Thursday, 21st Nov., 1872, to consider the application of William Louder Lees for an Auctioneer’s License.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.—The following Reserves will be leased by auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Tuesday, the 12th of November next.

NOTICE to APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED LAND under “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866.”
—It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 20th day of November, 1872, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled, and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.
