PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 15th day of November, 1872.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 4th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.
William Eagan, for six acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be contained within the pegs and trenches of the applicant, situated half a mile above the crossing at Stony Creek, Upper Shotover.
PUBLIC NOTICE,
Under Section 1, of Regulation IV.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Gold Field, described in the Schedule hereto, is for the whole or greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now, therefore, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undermentioned size, viz.:—
One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres.

SCHEDULE.
All that portion of the Otago Gold Field, situate at Main Gully Hogburn, containing three (3) acres more or less, bounded on the north by Wm. Wright’s residence area, 120 yards, on the South by L. W. Hooper’s extended claim, 120 yards; on the east by Crown lands, 140 yards; and on the west by Jas. Anderson’s residence area, 120 yards.

NOTICE is hereby given that the application of Samuel Goldston for an Agricultural Lease of Sections 48, 49 and 50, block VIII, Shotover, and section 6, Kawarau, has been cancelled, and the land is open for application under the Agricultural Lease Regulations.
