SCHEDULE.
John Thurlane, Milton Company, for three acres of
land, more or less, as the same may be found after
survey be contained within the pegs and trenches of the
applicant, situated at the bottom of Soldier’s Gully,
near Welshman’s Gully.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN Conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold
Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made
under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment
Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of
leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of
Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant
a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the
applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless
there shall be valid objections against granting such
lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing and
lodged with the Warden, at Switzers, on or before
the 10th day of September, 1872.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed,
may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Switzers.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 18th
day of August, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.
Tam Boo and party, for 10 acres of land, more or
less, as the same may be found after survey to be con-

FIRST MEETING OF THE ROAD BOARDS.
The following section of the “Otago Roads Ordi-
nance 1871” is published for the information of
newly-elected Road Boards:—
“34. The Board of every district constituted or pro-
claimed under the provisions of this Ordinance shall
hold their first meeting on the third Wednesday after
the first election or appointment of members of the
Board or as soon after such respective periods as con-
veniently may be at the hour of twelve o’clock at noon
and shall proceed to put this Ordinance into execution.”
The members of each Board shall themselves fix the
place of meeting.

“OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE 1871,” AND “THE
OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
ORDINANCE 1872.”
Appointment of First Election Days.
WHEREAS by “The Otago Roads Ordinance
1871,” and the “Otago Roads Ordinance Amend-
ment Ordinance 1872,” it is provided that the
first election of Members of the District Board in every
district and subdivision of district shall take place and
be held on such day as the Superintendent shall ap-
point:
Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint the several
days hereinafter specified, at twelve o’clock noon, for
the first election of Members of the District Board for
the several districts and subdivisions hereinafter men-
tioned respectively, to be elected under and by virtue
of the said recited Ordinances.
OTERAMIKA District.
One Tree Point Subdivision: Tuesday, 27th day of
August, 1872.
Lothian Subdivision: Wednesday, 28th day of
August, 1872.
LINDHURST District.
Waimumu Subdivision: Thursday, 28th day of
August, 1872.
Mabel Subdivision: Friday, 29th day of August, 1872.
Myross Subdivision: Saturday, 30th day of August,
1872.
Given under my hand, and issued under the
public seal of the Province of Otago, this
thirty-first day of July, 1872.
