PROCLAMATION.

Extending parts of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1867," to the Municipality of Port Chalmers.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the Municipal Corporations Act 1867, it is enacted that in small be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette of such Province to declare that any complete parts of the several parts of the said Act, numbered from two to twenty-two inclusive, as he should consider applicable should extend and be applied to any city, town or place. And whereas it is expedient that the several parts of the said first-mentioned Act which are hereinafter mentioned and enumerated, should be extended and applied to the said town of Port Chalmers.

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and in exercise and pursuance of the power vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the twelfth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, the complete parts of the several parts of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1867," numbered respectively,

Part XIII.
intituled "Government of Boroughs and Bye-laws";

Part XVI.
intituled "Loans and special rates";

Part XX.
intituled "Water Supply";

Part XXI.
intituled "Markets";

and

Part XXII.
intituled "Miscellaneous"

shall extend and be applied to the said town of Port Chalmers.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, in the said Province, this ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE, 1871.

Alteration of Polling Places.

WHEREAS by notice and appointment dated the eighteenth day of June, 1872, published in the Otago Provincial Gazette, the polling places for the respective districts and subdivisions of district therein mentioned, under and by virtue of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," were duly fixed and appointed until the same shall be altered or varied: And whereas it is expedient that the polling places in the districts and subdivisions of districts after-mentioned should be altered;
