A REVISION COURT will be held in the Council Chambers, Cromwell, on July 5th, at one o'clock,

APPLICATIONS

are invited for the offices of Head Master, Second Master, and School Mistress for the Invercargill Grammar School about to be established:

The salary of the Head Master will be not less than £300 per annum, with residence. The salary of the Second Master not less than £175 per annum, and that of the School Mistress, not less than £100 per annum.

The successful applicants will be expected to be in Invercargill to commence their duties after the Christmas vacation.

Applications must be received not later than the first week in September, 1872, and be accompanied by testimonials and references, to be addressed to the Chairman, Invercargill School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.

BRIGHTON ROAD BOARD

Notice is hereby given that all Ratepayers who have not yet paid their rates are requested to do so on or before noon on Saturday, the 6th July, otherwise after that date legal proceedings will at once be taken against them without any further notice. -- Peter Lerch, Clerk. -- Otaika,

IMPOUNDED

On the 17th day of June, 1872, by Charles M'Gregor, Shag Valley -- one yellow cow and calf, branded like M off rump; one red and white cow and calf, brand NVB; owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddocks, for which two shillings damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Palmerston, on Friday the 12th day of July, 1872, at 12 o'clock noon. -- J. H. Gilchrist, Poundkeeper of the Palmerston Pound.

IMPOUNDED

On the 12th day of June, 1872, by Thomas Spain, farmer, Blacks -- one red and white bull, branded like M off rump, ears marked, owner unknown, for trespassing on his farm, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 12th day of July, 1872, at twelve o'clock noon. -- William Williams, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock (Clyde) Pound.
