ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Present:

His Honor THE SUPERINTENDENT,
Donald Reid, and
James Benn Bradshaw, Esquires,
Members of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago, being also members of the Provincial Council of the said Province.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 28th day of December, 1870, the Crown Lands specified in the Schedule hereto were inter alia proclaimed and declared to be open for sale from and after the 30th day of January, 1871, in sections of the size and form in which such lands respectively had been already surveyed, and as the same were laid off and delineated on the map in the office of the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Otago relative thereto; And whereas none of the sections described in the said Order in Council have been sold: And whereas it is expedient that a certain portion of the said lands as hereinafter specified be withdrawn from sale, and that the same be selected and set apart for the purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and therefore;

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the said Province in this behalf, by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council, and of any and every other power in any way enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the Order in Council, dated the 28th day of December, 1870, opening up inter alia the lands hereinafter specified for sale, but only so far as regards the said lands hereinafter specified, and do hereby proclaim and declare that the said lands hereinafter described, are now withdrawn from sale, and do hereby further proclaim and declare that the lands comprised within the area hereinafter described in the annexed schedule, have been and are hereby selected and set apart by the Executive Government of the Province of Otago for the purpose of granting Agricultural Leases thereon and therefore, and applications therefor will be received by the Warden on and after the twenty-sixth day of June, 1872.
