IT is hereby notified that, on and after the 1st June next, the following reduced rates of commission will be charged on Telegraph Money Orders issued and payable in New Zealand, in addition to the Telegraph fee of 1s on each order:—

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Richard Bowden Martin, Esq., of Dunedin, John Reid, Esq., of Elderslie, by Oamaru and Dunedin, and Adam Rolland, Esq., of Blackstone Hill Station, Otago, to be Justices of the Peace for the Colony.

IMPOUNDED:
On the 12th June, 1872, by order of Thomas Everitt; Oamaru, one dark grey mare, branded like W S off shoulder, J T near shoulder, owner unknown, for trespassing on his property and destroying oats, for which 4s damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the public pound at Oamaru, on Friday, the 5th July, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Gray, poundkeeper of the Oamaru pound.
On the 17th June, 1872, by Robert Anderson, Farmer, East Taieri, one strawberry bull, no visible brand, owner unknown, for trespassing on green crop, East Taieri, for which 11s 2d damages and driving expenses is claimed, and in default of being released, the above bull will be sold at the public pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 5th July, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—Michael Tynan, poundkeeper of the West Taieri pound.
On the 7th June, 1872, by William Jorden, Shag Valley, one red stag, no visible brands, one bay pony mare, no visible brands, owners unknown, for trespassing on grass paddocks, for which 5s damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Palmerston, on Friday the 5th July 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—J.
