IMPOUNDED on the 22nd April, 1872, by order of Mr. M. Currie, one red steer, branded HP conjoined off rump, one strawberry heifer, blotch near rump, one red heifer, like OS off rump, fork near ear, one red cow, blotch near side, U off rump, with calf at foot, owner unknown, for trespassing on wheat stacks, for which one shilling per head damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Lawrence, on Friday, the 17th May, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—Peter Robertson, poundkeeper of the Lawrence pound.

Dick, Hawksbury, one white cow, red neck branded like JH conjoined near rump, one red and white steer, branded like JH conjoined off rump, cow supposed to belong to Mr. Menlove, for trespassing on English grass paddock, for which 4s each damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Hawksbury, on Friday, the 17th May, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—Aaron Valentine, poundkeeper of the Hawksbury pound.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the nomination of candidates for election to the office of Councillor as above, will be declared at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, Water street, on Saturday, 4th May, at the hour of noon.
Nominations must be in form of Schedule D. of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and be lodged at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street, where blank forms may be had, on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.
