WAKARI Road Board.—Tenders wanted for supplying road metal in various parts of Wakari district, and also for other works. Particulars may be learned from the undersigned, with whom tenders are to be left, on or before Friday, 3rd May, 1872.—DAVID M’LAUCHLAN, Halfway Bush School.

HURIRI Road Board.—Tenders will be received by the Clerk to the Road Board, until Tuesday, the 7th May next, for formation of portions of road, building of culverts and erection of bridge. Mr. Donald M’Donald will show the work to be done in his district, on Friday, the 3rd May, at 12 o’clock. Mr. Alex. Bullock will show the work to be done in his district, on the same day as above, at 2 o’clock. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—Robert M’LAY, Clerk to the Board. HARLINGTON Road District.—Tenders will be received till the 11th May next, at the house of Mr. Barrowman, Mount Pleasant, for Road Works in the above district. Specifications to be seen at the house of the undersigned, and the works will be pointed out to contractors on Thursday, the 9th May, by meeting at Mr. Cameron’s store, Sawyer’s Bay. BROAD BAY Road Board.—Tenders wanted for Repairs on road line from Mr. M’Lennan’s to Broad Bay. Mr. M’Lennan will show the above work on the 16th instant, at 12 o’clock. Also, Repairs on road from Mr. Stewart’s to the Lime Kiln. Mr. Stewart will show the work same day as above, at 2 o’clock.—Robert RAYNBIRD, Clerk.

NOTICE.—Tenders wanted by the Mosgiel Road Board for Gravelling six (6) chains, more or less, of District Road. Also, Carting 250 yards, more or less, of maintenance gravel to Main District Road. Specifications may be seen and tenders lodged with Mr. A. PORTOBELLO Road Board.—Tenders wanted for the undermentioned works on Hooper’s Inlet Road:—No. 2: For quarrying, carting, breaking, and spreading 70 yards, more or less, of Road Metal.—No. 3: For forming 10 chains, more or less, of Bridle Track at the head of Hooper’s Inlet. William Dickson will point out the works on Friday, the 10th May, from 12 o’clock noon until 2 p.m.—No. 4: For quarrying, carting, and breaking 70 yards, more or less, of Road Metal on the road leading from Portobello Bay to Papanui Bay.—No. 5: For forming a Bridle Track of 35 chains, more or less, from Papanui Bay Road towards Mr. Garrick’s.—No. 6: For forming 35 chains, more or less, of Bridle Track from Papanui Bay Road towards Mr. Shepherd’s. Mr. John Wishart will point out the works of Nos. 4, 5, and 6. Sealed tenders to be sent to the Clerk of the Board before 2 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, the 11th May. WANTED, Tenders for fire or six miles of sod fencing to be erected on the Strath Taieri Plain. Specifications may be seen, and tenders lodged with Mr. John Nimmo, West Taieri; or Mr. Alex. Brown, Green Island, up to April 30. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

WANTED, for the Queenstown Main District School, a Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress. Salary, Government subsidy of £160, and School fees of 1s per week added, subject to a deduction of £30 per annum. Probable salary from above sources £300 with a good house rent free. Must be duly qualified teachers, and the master able to teach singing. Engagement to be for one year only. CLYDE District School.—Wanted, a Master and a Mistress. Joint salary, £225 per annum guaranteed. A master competent to teach music preferred. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged on or before Thursday, 9th of May, with A. CHRISTOPHERS, Clerk.

NOTICE is hereby given that sections 7, 9, 11, and 12, block III, Kaitangata District, containing respectively 101a 2r 4p, 178a 3r 20p, 210a 3r 18p, 186a 1r 8p, and sections 13 and 14, block III, Akatore District, containing respectively 86a 0r 30p and 77a 2r 23p, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Auction Rooms of Mr Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Monday, the 29th day of April next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre.
