NOTICE is hereby given that the mining lease prepared in favor of Joseph Prangley for section 2, block XIV, Skipper’s Creek, has been cancelled, and the land is now open for occupation by holders of miners’ rights.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Friday, 19th April, for—
Contracts Nos. 637 and 638—Maintenance of portions of road “Tokomairiro to Tuapeka.”
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Lawrence.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 637 or 638,” as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 23rd April, for Contract No. 635—Formation of portions of Road Naseby to Coal-pit between Naseby and Kyeburn.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; or at the Police Station, Naseby.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 635.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS wanted for works in the Broad Bay District—
1st. Ten chains, more or less, of Formation on the Beach road, and Repairs on No. 1 Road: Mr. George Anderson will show the above works at his place, 9 o’clock on Thursday, the 25th inst.
3rd. Repairs on road line from Portobello Jetty to Portobello road, 10 chains more or less: Mr. Leslie to shew the works same day as above, at the Portobello road, 11 o’clock.
4th. Metalling and Repairing 10 chains, more or less, on road line through Mr. Larnach’s property: Mr. R. Roger to shew the works same day as above, at the road, at 1 o’clock.

WANTED, for the Queenstown Main District School, a Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress. Salary, Government subsidy of £160, and School fees of 1s per week added, subject to a deduction of £30 per annum. Probable salary from above sources £300 with a good house rent free. Must be duly qualified teachers, and the master able to teach singing. Engagement to be for one year only. WANTED, Tenders for five or six miles of sod fencing to be erected on the Strath Taieri Plain. Specifications may be seen, and tenders lodged with Mr. John Nimmo, West Taieri; or Mr. Alex. Brown, Green Island, up to April 30. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. 6s.

WEDNESDAY, 24th April.

IT is hereby notified that the land, bounded on the north by Tay street, on the south by Wood street, on the west by Clyde street, and on the east by Nith street, henceforth known as block 75, town of Invercargill, will be offered for sale by Mr. G. F. Martin, at auction, at the Town Hall, Invercargill, at noon, on the 24th day of April, 1872.

Block 75 is situated in the centre of the town of Invercargill, and contains 22 sections, each having 33 feet frontage to Tay street and Wood street, by a depth of two chains.

Terms—One fourth cash, balance in three equal instalments without interest, payable at one, two, and three years.
