ANDERSON’S BAY Road Board.—Notice is hereby given that the precept has been issued by the General Road Board, authorising the collection of the Highway Rate of the above district, for the year 1871-2; ratepayers are requested to pay their respective rates to the undersigned on or before the 17th April, 1872.—James Samuel, Collector. IMPOUNDED on the 28th day of March, 1872, by Mounted Constable P. O’Neill, one dark bay gelding, branded like JM (conjoined) near shoulder; owner unknown, for trespassing on public road at North Taieri, for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above gelding will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri on Friday, the 19th day of April, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—James Purvis, Poundkeeper of the East Taieri Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 20th day of March, 1872, by William Bremner, Shag Valley—1 bay mare, star on forehead, branded like CA (conjoined) near shoulder, owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddocks, for which 4s damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at Palmerston on Friday, the 19th day of April, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—J. IMPOUNDED, on the 25th day of March, 1872, by John M’Lachlan, one black cob, branded 3 near shoulder; one chestnut horse, no visible brand, white face and four white feet, owner unknown, for trespassing on Hawksbury Bush District Road, for which 2s 6d damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above horses will be sold at the Public Pound at West Hawksbury on Friday, the 19th day of April, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—Thomas Latham, Poundkeeper of the West Hawksbury Pound.

IMPOUNDED, on the 29th day of March, 1872, one red and white cow, blotch brand like ... on off rump; red and white calf, no brand; one yellow and white cow, “S” off rump; one yellow and white calf ... off rump; yellow steer, S T or S P off rump; one strawberry bull, no brand; red and white bull, no brand; one yellow steer, like M D off rump; yellow steer, like J D off rump, by Mr. Innis, Ranger for Northern Hundreds, owners unknown, for trespassing on Hawksbury Hundred, for which 2s each damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hawksbury, on Friday, the 19th day of April, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—Arch. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of the Otago Gold Fields, during the months of May and June next, shall be held as follows:

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Naseby, on the second Wednesday in May next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Clyde, on the Monday next after the second Wednesday in May next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Queenstown, on the Monday second after the second Wednesday in May next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Lawrence, on the second Tuesday in June next.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be held on the first day thereafter, not being a holiday.

Issued this nineteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
