WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—Tenders are invited for the undermentioned works:
1st. Formation of Sutherland’s Road.
2nd. Gravelling portion of Main Road through the Township of Outram.
3rd. Gravelling portion of Road from Outram to Greytown.
Plans and specifications may be inspected at the residence of James Shand, Esquire, with whom tenders may be lodged up till noon of Saturday the 16th inst. Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman of the West Taieri Local Road Board.

Tenders wanted for the road leading from Fortobello Bay to Papanui Bay. Mr. John Wishart will point out the work. Tenders to be at per chain, and the metal at per yard. Sealed tenders to be sent to the Clerk, on or before Saturday, the 16th instant. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
MERTON Road Board.—Tenders wanted for several works about to be executed by the Merton Road Board. Specifications for the works in the Pataura District can be seen at the house of Mr. Charles Russell, Maryhill, and for the works on the Round Hill District at the house of Mr. Allan. The work will be shown on Thursday, the 21st March, starting from Mr. M’Kane’s house at 10 o’clock a.m., and passing Mr. Brunton’s at 2 o’clock p.m. Tenders must be lodged with the Chairman, John Reid, Esq., or with the Clerk not later than 4 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, the 23rd inst.—Robert Allan, Clerk. FLAGSTAFF Road Board.—Tenders for Road Works will be received by the undersigned up to noon of Friday, the 22nd March instant for the following works:
Portion No. 1.—Road formation from Main District Road to Small Bush, at section 49, block V, Dunedin and East Taieri.
Portion No. 2.—Ditto from nearly opposite Mr. Jolly’s house to near Mr. Newton’s house; total, 51 chains and culverts.
Mr. Nicol will meet intending contractors at Mr. Dermer’s store, at 12 o’clock of Monday, the 18th March, to point out portion No. 1; Mr. M’Quilkan will meet intending contractors at 2 o’clock of same day on the ground to point out portion No. 2. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—E.R. Ussher, Engineer to the Board, 1, Chambers, Dunedin, 11th March, 1872.
Tenders will be received to Monday, 25th inst., for erection of Teacher’s Residence, Side School, Moeraki. Plan and specification may be seen at the Education Office, Dunedin, or at the residence of Mr. P. F. Stoddart, Hampden. Tenders, endorsed “Tender for Teacher’s Residence,” may be addressed to the undersigned, Moeraki.—Wm. L. Lindsay, Secretary Trotter’s Creek School Committee.
PURAKANUI Local Board.—Tenders are invited for Contracts 1 and 2.—Plans and Specifications may be seen at Mr. Mawson’s, Purakanui, up to Saturday, the 23rd instant; upon which day at 12 o’clock, all tenders must be delivered to Mr. R. Mawson.—John Hardy, Engineer to the Board. March 12th, 1872.
WANTED, a Schoolmistress for the Waikouaiti School. Salary, £100 per annum. Applications with testimonials to be lodged with the undersigned, on or before the 15th March, 1872.—J. Smith, Chairman of School Committee.
TEACHER wanted for Morton School.—In consequence of the present teacher leaving for California.
WANTED.—A Teacher for the Side School, Manuka Creek. Salary: £60 per annum and School Fees. Applications, with Testimonials, to be lodged with the undersigned, on or before the 1st of April.—Edwin Lodge, Clerk to School Committee, Manuka Creek.
WANTED.—A Teacher for the Side School, Kuri Bush. Salary: £50 per annum, with School Fees and Residence. Applications, with Testimonials, to be sent in not later than 26th instant.—Samuel Stevens, Kuri Bush, Otokia.
SCHOOLMASTER wanted for the South Akatore Side School. Salary: £75 per year, and School Fees, with Residence and 10 acres of land. WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
ALTERATION OF THE CLASSIFICATION OF WASTE LANDS.
It is hereby notified that the piece of land hitherto reserved for a Town Site and named Dalhousie, situate on both sides of the Clutha River, near its confluence with the Tuapeka, shall henceforth cease to belong to the class of Town lands.
Applications for the purchase of the west side as ordinary rural land will be received at the Land Office, Dunedin, on and after the 8th day of April next.
Applications for Leases under the Gold Fields Agricultural Lease Regulations will be received for the east side (excepting the Cemetery Reserve) at the Warden’s Office, Lawrence, on and after a date to be named by that officer.
