TAREPA ROAD BOARD.

Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before 1st March, 1872.—D. P. Milligan, collector. Warepa, January 23, 1872.

CLARENDON ROAD BOARD.

Notice.—All unpaid rates will be sued for after the second day of March, 1872, without further notice.—R. B. Twentyman, Collector, Lake Waipori, 10th February, 1872.

NOTICE.

REGISTRATION FORMS may be had from any of the Registration Offices in the Province, or from the Provincial Government Storekeeper, Dunedin.

POUNDKEEPERS.—Several Poundkeepers having neglected to make their Returns as required by the Impounding Ordinance, are reminded that penalty for such neglect is £20, which will be enforced if the returns are not made forthwith.

IMPOUNDED

on the 14th day of February, 1872, by Mr. Duffey, one bay Horse, star on forehead, branded W off shoulder, EW near shoulder, and 66 near rump. Notice sent to owner, for trespassing on his farm, for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above bay horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Tapanui, on Friday, the 8th day of March, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—A. M’Gregor, Poundkeeper of the Glenkenich Pound.

NOTICE

is hereby given that the partnership lately existing between us, the undersigned David Bacon and Heinrich Wilhelm Elias Meyer, as coal, merchants, livery stablekeepers, and express proprietors, at Dunedin, under the style or firm of Bacon and Meyer, was on the sixth day of August instant dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts due and owing to or by the late firm will be received and paid by the said David Bacon.

As witness our hands this eighteenth day of August, 1871.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

Public notice is hereby given, that the City Assessment for the year 1872 has been submitted to the City Council and allowed; that the same is deposited at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street, and may be daily inspected between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., by any person interested therein.

And notice is further given that any appeals against the assessment may be lodged at the City Council Chambers, Manse street (where blank forms may be had), on or before the 2nd March, 1872, and a copy of each notice of appeal must be delivered by the appellant to the Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin, six clear days before the day to be appointed for hearing any appeals. The day of hearing will be a day or two subsequent to the 2nd of March.

29° VICTORIA, No. 26.—SCHEDULE A.

THE undersigned, John Lomas, hereby make application to register the “Devil’s Creek Quartz Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of the “Mining Companies Limited Liability Act 1865” and the Amended Act 1870, and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

The name and style of the Company is the “Devil’s Creek Quartz Mining Company, Registered.”

The place of operations is at Devil’s Creek, Lammerlaw Ranges.

The nominal capital of the Company is six thousand pounds in six thousand shares of one pound each, one thousand shares of which are allowed to the promoters as paid-up shares.

The amount already paid up is nil.

The name of the manager is John Lomas.

The office of the Company is at Waipori.

The names and several residences of the shareholders and the number of shares held by each at this date are as follows:—

John Taylor, " " 2000 "
Andrew Courtenay, " " 2000 "
