✨ Road Contracts and Land Notices
TENDERS will be received at the office of the
Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of
Tuesday, 5th March, for Contracts Nos. 580, 581, 582,
583, 384, 585, 586, 587, 588, 589, 590, 591, and 592
—Maintenance of Road—"Dunedin to East Taieri
Bridge."
Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender ob-
tained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and
Works, Dunedin.
Specifications may also be seen at the Toll-house,
Saddle Hill, for Contracts No. 585, 586, 587, 588, and
589; at the Toll-house, East Taieri Bridge, for Con-
tracts Nos. 590, 591, and 592.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, Tender
for Contract No. 580, 581, 582, 583, 584, 585, 586,
587, 588, 589, 590, 591, 592," as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.

tenance of portion of Road—"Tokomairiro to Tuapeka"
—between Havelock Bridge and Lawrence; and Con-

tained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and
Works, Dunedin; or at Police Station, Lawrence,
for Contract No. 602; and the Police Station, Bal-
clutha, for Contract No. 603.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender
for Contract No. 602, or 603," as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the

OWNER TAIERI FERRY Hotel and Grounds for
Sale.—Tenders will be received from persons
desirous of purchasing said Hotel and 10 acres of land,
more or less, on part of which the aforesaid Hotel is
situate.
Tenders to be lodged at the Provincial Government
Offices, Dunedin, by noon of Thursday, the 14th day
of March, 1872.
The Government will not be bound to accept any
offer.
WANTED, a Schoolmaster for Kaitangata School;
salary, £75, with school fees and residence.
Applications to be lodged with R. Macdonald up to the
end of February next. School to be opened on the 1st
April, 1872.
WANTED, a Schoolmistress for the Port Chalmers
Grammar School; salary, £100 per annum.
Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged with the
undersigned on or before the 1st day of March, 1872.

Flat; salary, £50 per annum and School Fees.

SCHOOLMISTRESS WANTED.—Applications for
the Office of Principal Assistant in the Girls’
Provincial High School, Dunedin, will be received by
the undersigned up to March 6, 1872; salary, £150
per annum. Satisfactory evidence of experience and
success in school teaching is indispensable.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE to APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED
LAND under "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866."
—It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names
appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land
Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the
sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and
that the purchase money of these sections must be paid
to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Dunedin, on or
before Wednesday, the 6th day of March, 1872,
otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn,
cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of
lodging the application will be forfeited.
