Small Cattle, Block No. 5.

All that area contained within the following boundaries:—Comprising the whole of Run No. 8, as defined in the map of the Wakatip Runs, save and except that portion of country described as Great Cattle Block No. 4.

Small Cattle, Block No. 6.

All that area contained within the following boundaries:—Commencing at the junction of the Shiel Burn with Shotover River; thence to junction of right hand branch of said river; thence by a straight line to Mount Aurum; thence along top of range to Stoney Creek and boundary of Wakatip Run No. 6; thence along boundary of said Run to Run 346; thence along boundary of Run 346 to Simpson’s Creek and Lake Wakatip; thence by Lake Wakatip to Two-mile Creek; thence by a line north-east to Shotover River; thence by said river to starting point, save and except those areas described as Great Cattle Blocks, Nos. 7, 8, and 9.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

I

N conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868 and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden, at Lawrence, on or before the 24th day of January, 1872.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Lawrence.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 29th day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

19th January, Friday, noon, a bull and two geldings will be sold at Caversham Pound.

TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Friday, 19th January, for Contract No. 553.—Repairing of Bridge over North Branch of Tokomairiro River.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; or at Police Station, Tokomairiro.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 553.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 567.”

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Friday, 2nd February, 1872, for Contract No. 541.—Construction of a Timber Bridge over the Kakaho Stream, Main North Road.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, or at the Police Station, Hampden.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 541.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

The time within which the Roslyn Road Board will receive tenders for work required in the formation of Waverley street, Melrose, is extended to Thursday first, January 11, 1872.

WANTED

by the Kaikorai Road Board, Tenders for Widening the Valley Road—80 chains, more or less; also for spreading 580 yards metal.

Mr. Burr will point out the work on Monday, the 15th inst., between 10 and 1 o’clock; and with whom tenders must be lodged on or before Thursday, the 18th.—JAS. CUNNINGHAM, Clerk to the Board.
