TE HOUKA ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.—Tenders will be received by the Road Board in the above-named district, for certain road work, up till 7th December, 1871. Specifications to be seen at my house.—WM. DALLAS, Clerk to Board.

TENDERS will be received until noon of Monday, the 11th December, for Contract No. 74, Survey of Otatau Township, Aparima Hundred, about 400 acres, into sections—from ¼ to 10 acres each. Plan and specification may be seen at the Survey Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill. Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 74,” and accompanied by a deposit of 10 per cent.

WAKARI ROAD BOARD.—Tenders are requested for repairs to road from Maowhill to Sunnyside; also for road to Menlove’s slaughter yard, and Bush reserve. ENGROSSING &c.—Tenders will be received at the office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, 12th December, 1871, for Engrossing Crown Grants during the year 1872, at per folio, placing marginal plans on the same. Every information will be given on application at the Crown Grant Office, Dunedin.

PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.—Tenders are invited for reforming ten or twelve chains, more or less, of roadway. John Wishart will show the work. WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

SETTLERS are reminded that by the “Regulations for the Management of Pasturage within Hundreds” every person depasturing or desirous of depasturing cattle on the unfenced waste lands within any Hundred, is required, on or before the 1st of January in every year, to furnish to the Waste Land Board a return, showing the number of acres of land owned or occupied by him, the number of acres owned or occupied (if any) unenclosed available to be depastured on by all licensed stock, and the number, description, and brands of all cattle intended to be depastured upon a Hundred. Penalty for not making a return, or for making a false one, £20. Forms may be obtained at the Land Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill, and from the Rangers at times and places of which they will give local notice.

Immediately thereafter, section 1 of 38, block I, Otokia district, containing 107A 3R and 3P, will be offered at the upset price of 10s per acre.

NOTICE to APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED LAND under “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866.”

The Sections in the subjoined Schedule being now surveyed, the applicants are informed that the Waste Land Board will give its decision on their applications at this Office, on Wednesday, the 12th day of December, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon; on or before which day, objections to the survey, if any, must be made. In the event of the application being granted, the purchase money may be made forthwith to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Invercargill.
