ROAD DISTRICT NOTICES

RATEPAYERS are hereby requested to pay their respective Rates to me, at my house, Hampden, on or before the 25th November, 1871.—Peter W. Young, Collector, Hampden, October 20th, 1871.


BUSHEY ROAD DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the General Road Board having issued a Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate for the year 1871-72, the collector will call once upon the Ratepayers for payment of the amount of their respective Rates.—John Keen, clerk and collector, Bushey Local Board, Palmerston, October 7th, 1871.


OPMAHURST ROAD DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the Board of the above district intend to apply at the December sitting of the General Road Board for authority to levy a Highway Rate of two-pence (2d) per acre. The Assessment Roll is now ready, and may be inspected for fourteen days from date at my house.—Thomas Horne, Clerk to the Board, October, 1871.


THE FINEGAND ROAD BOARD

Hereby notify their intention of applying to the General Road Board, at the November sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 6d. in the Pound, on all Property in the district, for the year ending June, 1872. The Assessment Roll may be inspected at Mr. Ayson’s, Finegand, for fourteen days from date.—Archibald Hodge, Clerk to the Board, October 12, 1871.


NOTICE

The Precepts having been issued, authorising the Collection of the Inch Clutha and North Molyneux Road Rates, for the year 1871-72, Ratepayers are requested to pay their respective amounts to the Collector, at the Post Office, Inch Clutha, on or before the 10th day of November next.—C. TOMAHAWK ROAD DISTRICT

Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 4th day of November, 1871.—Thomas Harrison, clerk and collector, Tomahawk district, October 2nd, 1871.


BEACONSFIELD ROAD BOARD

Notice is hereby given of their intention to apply to the General Road Board at the October sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of (4d) fourpence per acre for the year ending June, 1872. The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at my house, Beaconsfield, fourteen days from date.—Elias Jonas, clerk to Board, September 22nd, 1871.


MERTON ROAD BOARD

Notice.—The Precept for the collection of the Highway Rate for 1871-72 having been issued, Ratepayers are requested to pay to me their respective Rates, at my house, in one payment, on or before the 1st November, 1871.—Robert Allan, collector, Merton, October 6th, 1871.


MORNINGTON ROAD DISTRICT

NOTICE.—The Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate for the abovenamed District for the year ending June, 1872, having been issued, the ratepayers are hereby respectfully requested to pay their respective rates to me, at my house, within thirty days from the date hereof.—John E. Attwood, Clerk and Collector, Post-office, Mornington, October 1st, 1871.


THE AHURIRI LOCAL ROAD BOARD

Notify their intention to apply, at the next sitting of the General Road Board, in November, for authority to levy a Rate of Threepence per acre for the year ending June, 1872. The Rate Roll can be inspected at my house for fourteen days from this date.—Robert McLay, Clerk to Local Board, Ahuriri, 11th October, 1871.


BLUESKIN LOCAL ROAD BOARD

The Committee hereby notify their intention to apply at the sitting of the General Road Board in November next, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 1s. in the Pound, on the annual value of all Property in the district, liable to be assessed for the year ending June, 1872. The revised Assessment Roll can be inspected at Mr. Thos. Quayle’s store, for 14 clear days from the 16th instant, inclusive.—J. Green, Chairman to the Board, Blueskin, October 12, 1871.


NOTICE

The Ratepayers of the North-east Harbor District, are requested to pay the Rates for this year to me, at my house, any day during this month, or failing this, to meet me for this purpose, at the School-house, on the 4th November, between the hours of 12 and 4.—Robert Raynbird, Collector, North-east Harbor, October 16, 1871.


ORIGINAL HILL ROAD DISTRICT

Notice.—The Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate in the above district, for the year ending June, 1872, having been issued by the General Road Board, Ratepayers are hereby requested to pay their respective Rates to me, at my house, Signal Hill, in one payment, on or before the 15th day of November, 1871.—Hugh Brown, Collector, October 16, 1871.


MOUNT ROYAL ROAD DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the above named Road Board intend to apply to the General Road Board on the first Thursday of November, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of (4d) fourpence per acre in said district. The Assessment Roll is now ready, and may be inspected for fourteen days from date at my house.—John Keen, clerk and collector, Palmerston, October 5th, 1871.


IMPOUNDED NOTICES

Impounded on the 17th October, 1871, by John Roach, Haye’s Lake, one roan heifer, no visible brands, one red and white yearling heifer, branded like W off ribs, point of tail cut off, one brindle steer, block brand on off ribs, hole in off ear, owner unknown, for trespassing on his paddock, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Haye’s Lake, on Friday, the 10th November, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—W. T. Marshall, poundkeeper of the Shotover pound.

Impounded on the 17th October, 1871, by Mr. James Lees, one dark bay mare, branded like B near shoulder, owner unknown, for trespassing on fenced land, and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the public pound at Oamaru, on the 10th day of November, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—Fredk. Collis, poundkeeper of the Oamaru pound.

Impounded on the 18th October, 1871, by John Roche, Haye’s Lake, one red and white spotted steer, no visible brand, hole in off ear, owner unknown, for trespassing on his paddock, and in default of being released, the above steer will be sold at the public pound at Haye’s Lake, on Friday, the 10th November, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—W. T. Marshall, poundkeeper of the Shotover pound.

Impounded on the 19th October, 1871, by Robt. Bain, Ranger, one red cow, branded like DC off rump, white streak from udder to breast, owner unknown, for trespassing on Town Belt, and in default of being released, the above cow will be sold at the public pound at South Dunedin, on Friday the 10th November, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Barr, poundkeeper of the South Dunedin pound.
