NASEBY HOSPITAL.

MEETING OF CONTRIBUTORS.

In pursuance of the "Hospitals’ Ordinance, 1862," the first Public Meeting of the Contributors to the Hospital situate in the town of Naseby, in the Otago Gold Field, for the purpose of electing the Committee of Management and other Officers, and transacting any other business of the said Institution, will be held in the Odd Fellows Hall, in the said township of Naseby, upon Tuesday, the thirtieth day of October, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.

By Section 8 of the said Ordinance, it is enacted that the "Committee and other Officers of such institutions respectively, shall be elected by the majority of Contributors, either of the annual sum of one pound at the least, or of ten pounds in one sum to the said Institutions respectively, who may be present at the respective Meetings to be called for the purpose of any such Elections as hereinafter provided."

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Government have sanctioned the surrender of Lease 642A granted to Mr. Walter Davidson for Section 55, Block 5, Waithana East, and the land is now open for Application under the Agricultural Lease Regulations.

Of Impounding Notices:-
13th October, Friday, noon, a cow and a calf will be sold at Hawksbury pound.
20th October, Friday, noon, a Bull will be sold at Otokia Pound.
20th October, Friday, a Cow, two Calves, three Heifers, two Steers, and a Bull will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.

PINE HILL ROAD BOARD

Invite Tenders to Clear and Form 20 Chains of Road Formation in said district. Specifications &c., may be seen at my house, North-east Valley, and Tenders received on and up to the 20th of October, 1871.

TENDERS wanted for the Kaikorai Road Board for Metalling and Formation:

  • Valley road, 500 yards, more or less;
  • Brockville road, 170 yards, more or less;
  • formation on Brockville road, about 15 chains;
    and from section 159 to 1 of 29, with culverts. Formation to be in one tender, and the metal on Valley and Brockville roads in separate tenders. Contractors to apply to Mr. Somtag, who will show the work on Monday, 16th instant, between ten and twelve a.m. Tenders to be lodged with Mr. Barr on or before Friday, 20th.

WANTED: a qualified female teacher for the Clyde district school. Salary £100 per annum. Applications with testimonials to be sent in by Thursday, 2nd November, to J. Christophers, Clerk.

SCHOOLMASTER wanted for the School at Switzers, must be married; wife to teach sewing. Salary, £125 a year and fees, with residence. Applications to be sent in to the undersigned on or before November 16th, accompanied by testimonials.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

LAND OPEN FOR SALE on 22nd February, 1871.—See Gazette of 23rd February, 1871, which may be had at the various Survey and Police Stations throughout the Province; and at the Land Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease of Clutha Suburban, being sections 1, 2, and 3, Coast District, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the auction rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 27th day of October next, at 12 o’clock noon, at the upset price of £10 per annum. Deposit on fall of hammer to be £10.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED LAND,

Under "Otago Waste Land Act, 1866."

It is hereby notified to the Applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared them to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase-money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Dunedin, on or before Wednesday, the 25th day of October, 1871, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

WAIRAIKI HUNDRED.

It is hereby notified that the Regulations for the management of Pasturage within Hundreds, published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 727, of the 7th April, 1871, so far as clauses 1 to 14 inclusive, have been agreed to by the Waste Land Board as Regulations for the management of pasturage within the Waiarika Hundred.

NOTICE.

CROWN GRANTS for the Land; and in favor of the persons after-mentioned, are now ready for delivery; and attention is directed to the following clauses of the "Crown Grants Act 1866."

Clause XXXIX.—There shall be paid upon all Grants to be hereafter issued which may be left in the charge or custody of any Commissioner of Crown Lands, or other officer charged with the delivery of the same, a fee of sixpence for every month during which they shall be so left after the expiration of three months from the date of the notice in the Gazette of the Province wherein the lands are situate, that such Grants are ready for delivery.

Clause XL.—There shall be paid upon all Grants issued prior to the passing of this Act, and left as aforesaid in the custody of the officer engaged with the delivery thereof, a fee of sixpence per month for every month during which they shall have been so left after two months subsequent to the passing of this Act.
