BROAD BAY ROAD BOARD.

The Broad Bay Road Board hereby give Notice of their intention to apply to the General Road Board, at their sitting in October, for authority to levy a rate of sixpence per £1 for the year ending June, 1872. Robert Haywood, Clerk and Collector. Broad Bay, August 24, 1871.

IMPOUNDED on the 28th day of August, 1871, by Robert Bain, Ranger, one red and white Cow, blotch brand off rump; one red and white Steer, branded like H S off rump; and one dark brown and white Steer, branded like H S off rump; owner unknown; trespassing on Town Belt; and, in default of being released, the above Cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at South Dunedin, on the 15th (Friday), day of September, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon. IMPOUNDED on the 23rd day of August, 1871, one yellow Heifer, branded O H on off rump, piece off right ear, by John M’Lachlan, for Hawksbury Bush Road Board, owner unknown, for trespassing on Hawksbury Bush district roads, for which 1s 6d damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above heifer will be sold at the public Pound, at Hawksbury, on Friday, the 15th day of September, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon. NOTICE TO COMMON JURORS.

THE attendance of the Common Jurors summoned to appear at the Supreme Court in Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th September next, will not be required until Monday the 18th September next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which last mentioned time they are hereby ordered to attend at the Court aforesaid. SUPREME COURT.

Notice is hereby given, that a sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of September next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given, that the Civil cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the 12th day of September, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between Bendix Hallenstein, Isaac Hallenstein, Hermann Buttner, and Michaelis Hallenstein, trading as merchants in Queenstown, Arrow, and Cromwell, in the Province of Otago, in New Zealand, under the style of I. Hallenstein & Co., was this day dissolved by mutual consent, and that a similar business will be carried on as from this day by the said Bendix Hallenstein, Isaac Hallenstein, and Michaelis Hallenstein, who have entered into Partnership, under the style of I. Hallenstein & Co., and will receive all debts due to the late firm.
