NOTICES
IMPOUNDED on the 10th day of August, 1871, by Walter Watson, manager for Hon. Matthew Holmes, 1 bay Horse, branded like the letter A, off shoulder; owner unknown; for trespassing on Lee Stream Station; for which damages one pound is claimed; and in default of being released, the said Horse will be sold at the Public Pound, at West Taieri, on Friday, the first day of September, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.—Michael Tynan, Poundkeeper of the West Taieri Pound.
NOTICE to make Fence.—To Mr. Gordon, or whom it may concern.—Take notice, that I desire the separating fence between section 21 and section 22, block XIV., Greenknowe district, be made immediately.—Robert T. Elliot, owner of 22. 6s.
SUPREME COURT.—Notice is hereby given, that a sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of September next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
Notice is hereby further given, that the Civil cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the 12th day of September, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint William Parker Street, Esquire, to be Registrar of Marriages, and of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the District of Dunedin, as the same is defined in Proclamation of 50th day of November, 1865, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 48, of the 11th day of December, 1865, vice John Burnside, Esquire, resigned. This appointment to take effect on and from the 9th instant.
