WANTED—A Teacher for the Side School, Port Molyneux. Salary, £75 per annum, and School fees, and allowance for Rent.—Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged with the undersigned on or before the 19th instant.—James Paterson, Clerk School Committee, Port Molyneux.


WANTED—A Teacher for the Side School, Clarke’s Flat, near Lawrence.—Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged at the Education Office, on or before the 23rd instant.


THE North-East Harbor Local Road Board hereby notify their intention of applying to the General Road Board, at their next meeting, for permission to levy a Road Rate of One Shilling per Acre on all the rateable property of the district, for the year ending June, 1872. The Assessment Roll will be open for inspection at the Schoolhouse till the 29th August.—George P. Byrn, Clerk to the Board. North-East Harbor, July 29, 1871.


HENLEY ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is hereby given, that the Rate Roll of the above-named district lies for inspection at the house of Mr. Alex. Fleming, within the said district, for fourteen days from this date.—Peter Lawson, Clerk. Henley, 31st July 1871.


BLUE MOUNTAIN ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is hereby given, that the above-named Road Board intend to apply to the General Road Board, on the first Thursday of September, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence in the Pound on annual value of all lands and buildings in said district. The Assessment Roll is now ready, and may be inspected for fourteen days from date, at my house, John Keen, Clerk and Collector, Blue Mountain Local Road Board. Palmerston, August 2, 1871.


MAUNGATUA ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Maungatua Road Board to apply to the General Road Board in September next, for permission to levy a rate of Sixpence in the Pound on the annual value of all lands, &c., in the district, for the year ending June, 1872. The Assessment Roll can be inspected in the Schoolhouse, Maungatua, for fourteen days after the fourth of August, 1871.—James Sim, Clerk to the Board. 31st July, 1871.


HERBERT.—The Local Board hereby notifies its intention to apply to the General Board for authority to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling per Pound of annual value on all lands, houses, mills, buildings, &c., in the district. The amended Assessment Roll may be inspected for fourteen days from this date, at the house of the undersigned.—Alex. Pirie, Clerk. Otepopo, August 9, 1871.


LILYDAY.—The Local Board hereby notifies its intention to apply to the General Board, at the September sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence per Acre. It is also notified that the amended Assessment Roll may be inspected by ratepayers at the house of the undersigned, for fourteen days from date hereof.—Alex. Pirie, Clerk. Otepopo, August 9, 1871.


SYDNEY.—The Local Board hereby notifies its intention to apply to the General Board, at the September sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence per Acre. It is also notified that the amended Assessment Roll may be inspected by ratepayers at the house of the undersigned, for fourteen days from date hereof.—Alex. Pirie, Clerk. Otepopo, August 9, 1871.


THE Highcliffe Local Road Board hereby notify their intention to apply at the next sitting of the General Road Board (in September) for authority to levy a Rate of One Shilling per Acre in the above district, for the year ending June, 1872. The revised Assessment Roll will be open for inspection at Schoolhouse, Highcliffe, until the 26th inst.—William Hay, Clerk to Local Road Board. 4th August, 1871.


SANDYMOUNT ROAD DISTRICT.—The Local Road Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the next sitting of the General Road Board on the first Thursday of September, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling in the Pound for the current year. The Assessment Roll may be inspected by ratepayers at the house of Mr Peter Carmichael, for fourteen days from the 16th inst.—George Boyles, Clerk, Sandymount Road Board. Sandymount, August 4, 1871.


NOTICE.—Tomahawk Local Road Board hereby intimate their intention of applying at the first meeting of the General Road Board, to be held in September, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling per Acre in the above district, for the year 1871-72. The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at my house, Tomahawk, for fourteen days from date—Sundays excepted.—Thomas Harrison, Clerk and Collector to the Local Road Board. August, 1871.


ROSLYN ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given, that the Roslyn Road Board intends to apply to the General Road Board on the first Thursday of September, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence in the Pound on the annual value of all lands, buildings, &c., in the said district. The Assessment Roll is ready, and may be inspected for 14 days after the 11th inst., at Mr. Davidson’s Store, Roslyn.—H. P. Mackin, Clerk, Roslyn Road Board. Kaikorai, August 8, 1871.


KAIKORAI ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.—The Assessment Roll for this district, 1871-72, can be inspected for fourteen days from the date hereof by anyone claiming to be affected thereby, at the house of the undersigned.—James Cunningham, Clerk to the Board. Kaikorai, August 10, 1871.


SUPREME COURT.—Notice is hereby given, that a sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of September next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance. Notice is hereby further given, that the Civil causes will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the 12th day of September, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.—Edward Francis Ward, Registrar.
