TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands and Works, until noon of Tuesday, 15th August, for Contract No. 566—Carting about 300 cubic yards of road metal from Old Botanic Reserve along the “Main Road through Dunedin.”

Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 566.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Friday, the 1st September next, for the performance of the Steam Tug Service in the Port of Dunedin, for Twelve Months, by a suitable Steamer of not less than (70) seventy horse power. The Master of the Tug must be qualified to act, and be licensed by the Government as a Pilot for the aforementioned Port.

TO CONTRACTORS.

THE Oteramika Road Board invite Tenders for the Formation of a Road from the Half-way Bush to near Edendale station, a distance of about seven miles. The work is divided into three contracts, to suit small contractors.

Plans and specifications lie with Mr. Stewart, Clerk to the Board, at Edendale station, who will receive sealed tenders up till 20th August.

The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.

The Board do not bind themselves to accept any tender, or the lowest.

THE “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866 Amendment Act 1869.”

Mr. John M’Lauchlin, of Hawksbury, is authorised by His Honor the Superintendent, under the provisions of section 13 of the above-mentioned Act, to impound all cattle found trespassing upon any public road within the limits of the Hawksbury Bush Road District.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS for UNSURVEYED LAND, under “Otago Waste Land Act, 1866.”

It is hereby notified to the applicant whose name appears in the subjoined Schedule, that the Waste Land Board has declared him to be the purchaser of the section set opposite his name in the Schedule; and that the purchase money of this section must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 16th day of August, 1871, otherwise the application will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled, and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

IT IS HEREBY notified that the Regulations for the management of pasturage within Hundreds, published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 72, of the 17th April, 1871, so far as Clauses 1 to 14 inclusive, have been agreed to by the Waste Land Board as Regulations for the management of pasturage within the Waihola and Crookston Hundreds, the word September will for the present year, so far as regards these Hundreds, be substituted for the word January in Clause 1 aforementioned.
