PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN Conformity to the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown, on or before the 28th day of July, 1871.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Queenstown.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this eighteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

SCHEDULE.
Thomas Johns and Thomas Riddell, Scotch Thistle Company, for 8 acres of land situated on Stoney Creek, two miles above the Shotover, on Yates’ Terrace.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Government have cancelled the Agricultural Lease held by Donald Stewart, over that portion of Section 62, Block VIII, which has been applied for by Messrs Blanchard and party as a Mining Lease, under the Mining Lease Regulations.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Occupation Certificate issued in favor of William Hosking and party, under the Mining Lease Regulations, for Section 8, Glenorchy, has been cancelled, and the land is open for occupation by holders of Miner’s Rights.

Ratepayers in the undermentioned Road Districts having failed to elect Local Boards to serve for the year ending June, 1872, notice is hereby given, that Meetings are appointed to be held for the purpose of electing five duly qualified persons to serve as Local Boards as under:—
- Otanomomo—Friday, 21st July, at the house of Mr. Telford, at noon.
- Waiwera—Monday, 17th July, Schoolhouse, at noon.
- Weymouth—Friday, 21st July, Schoolhouse, at 3 o’clock p.m.
- Wingatui—Thursday, 20th July, at the house of Mr. Wm. Stevenson, at 3 o’clock p.m.
