POUND. WAITAHUNA WEST.—The four horses impounded by Mr. James Smith, have been claimed.—Peter Scott, Poundkeeper.

IMPOUNDED on the 30th day of May 1871, by Robert Bain, Ranger; one bay horse, white on face, branded like H O over O near shoulder, and like O near hip, owner unknown, for trespassing on Botanical Gardens, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at South Dunedin, on Friday, the 30th day of June, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 31st day of May, 1871, by Robt. Jackson, Forbury road, one bay gelding, branded H near shoulder, owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock. Also on the 12th of June, by William Wilson, Forbury road, one spotted bullock, off horn broken, no visible brand, owner unknown, trespassing on stock-yard, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Caversham, on Friday, the 30th day of June, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 2nd day of June, 1871, a red and white steer, JA near rump; one strawberry poley cow, like M off rump; one red and white cow, like CC off rump, HR HR (conjoined) off ribs, like MN near rump; one red bull, no visible brands, by J. Loughnan Esq., Mount Pisa Station, owner unknown, for trespassing on Station, and breaking fences, and destroying garden and crops, for which £5 8d damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday the 30th day of June, 1871, at twelve o’clock noon.

JUST PUBLISHED.—“Schedule and Synopsis of the Ordinances passed by the Provincial Council of Otago, during Sessions I, 1853-4 to XXVIII, 1870 inclusive.” May be had of A. R. Livingston, Bookseller, Princes street, Dunedin. Price 2s. 6d.

THE Gazette may be had gratis by applying to J. Logan, Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin. Parties should give with their address the nearest post town. All applications for the Gazette are attended to, although intimation to that effect is not made to the applicant.

NOTICE TO ADVERTISERS IN GAZETTE.—All advertisements for insertion in Gazette, other than those from Road Boards, &c., which are inserted free, must from this date be accompanied by a cheque (or cash) for the full amount, including, if from a country district, 1s for exchange; otherwise they will not be inserted. The charge is 6d per line of 7 words.

IMMIGRATION MONEY.—Several parties having neglected to pay Immigration Money as promised, notice is hereby given that if said sums are not paid forthwith, Legal Proceedings will be adopted to recover the same.

PUBLICANS’ LICENSES.—Notice is hereby given, that the Quarterly Licensing Meeting of the Bench of Magistrates for the Licensing District throughout the Province will be held at the respective Resident Magistrates’ Court Houses proclaimed for that purpose on Tuesday, 6th day of June next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of taking into consideration all applications for such Licenses.
