OMAHAWK LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Tenders

Tenders will be received until the last March for a Surfaceman, to employ a portion of his time in keeping the water-tables clear, and the water from destroying the Main District Road. Messrs Wm. Sanderson and Matheson will give any information required to intending contractors. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.—Alex. The Local Board of Chalgrave invite Tenders for work on the Forest Road up to Thursday, the 3rd instant. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Post-office, Hampden, or at my Office, Dunedin.—John Hardy, Engineer to the Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that Sections 1 to 48, Block XVII, Balclutha, will be offered for sale by Public Auction by Mr R. W. Capstick at the Crown Hotel, Balclutha, on Monday, 20th day of February, 1871, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications will be received at the Land Office, Dunedin, for the remaining part of Block 3, North Harbour and Blueskin District on and after Thursday, the second day of March next.

NOTICE is hereby given that Block XXII, Arrowtown, containing 3a. 0r. 20p., and Section 38, Block VII, Shotover District, containing 6a., known as the Warden’s quarters Reserve, will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the Public Library, Arrowtown, on Wednesday, the 15th day of March next, at noon, at the upset price of £3 per acre, subject to a valuation of £140 for house and other improvements erected thereon.

WAREPA ROAD BOARD. NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Precept authorising the levying of a rate of 3d per acre on all rateable lands within the district having been issued, ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before 28th February, proximo. George William Poison, Warepa, 26th January, 1871.

ALL DAY ROAD DISTRICT.—A Precept, authorising the collection of a Special Highway Rate of three-half-pence per acre having been issued by the General Board, ratepayers are hereby informed that their respective amounts are payable to me, within one month from date hereof.—Alex. Pirie, Collector. Otepopo, February 1st, 1871.

PINE HILL ROAD BOARD

notify their intention to apply at the next sitting of the General Road Board, for authority to levy a special rate of 6d per acre for the year ending June, 1871. The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at my house N. E. Valley, 14 days from date.—Henry Duncan, Clerk to the Board. 10th February, 1871.

NOTICE

is hereby given that the Deborah Bay District Road Board intends to apply to the General Road Board, at its next meeting in March, for authority to levy a highway rate of sixpence (6d) per acre throughout the district. Assessment roll can be seen at the house of the undersigned.—Geo. C. Hutchinson, Collector. 8th February, 1871.

IMPOUNDED

on the 9th day of February, 1871, by Mrs Collins, Green Island, one heifer, white and red spots, branded diamond near rump, owner unknown, for trespassing on a paddock; for which she claims £1 damages; and, in default of being released, the above heifer will be sold at the Public Pound, at Caversham, on Friday, the 3rd day of March, 1871, at 12 o'clock noon.—John Anderson, Poundkeeper of the Caversham Pound.
