THE REVEREND THOMAS BURNS, D.D.,
First Minister of the First Church of Otago,
Died, at Bankton, London-street, Dunedin, this day,
at half-past two o’clock a.m.
The Funeral will take place on Thursday, the 26th instant, when the presence of the Public Functionaries of the Province, and the attendance of all other persons who may be desirous of testifying their respect, is requested.
The Funeral will leave Bankton, London-street, at 2 o’clock p.m.

HIS Honor the SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that the Provincial Government Offices will be CLOSED on Thursday next, the 26th instant, on the occasion of the Funeral of the late Reverend Thomas Burns, D.D. He also suggests the propriety of a general cessation from business on the day named, in token of respect for the Memory of the first Minister of the First Church of Otago.
