FLAGSTAFF ROAD DISTRICT.—To Contractors

Tenders are wanted by the Flagstaff Road Board for the Construction of Road Works, four different Sections, at the Ware Flat.

The Drawings and Specifications to be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Rattray street, where forms of tender, and schedules of quantities may be obtained.

Tenders properly endorsed and addressed to the Chairman of the Flagstaff Road Board, to be sent in by noon of Saturday, the 28th instant.

NOTICE.—MERTON ROAD BOARD. Tenders wanted for several works about to be executed by the Merton Local Road Board.

Plans and specifications for the works in the Round Hill District can be seen at the house of Mr Robert Allan, Merton; for the works in the Paturau District at the house of Mr Charles Russell, Merton; and for the works near Brynn’s Point at the house of Mr Daniel O’Connell, Merton.

Mr Allan will show the works on Thursday, the 26th inst., starting from Mr M’Kane’s house at 9 o’clock a.m., from Mr Kenyon’s at 10 o’clock a.m., from Mr Bradford’s at half-past 11 o’clock a.m., from Mr Murray’s at 1 o’clock p.m., from Mr Thomas Whyte’s at 2½ o’clock p.m., and from Mr Grainger’s at 5 o’clock p.m.

Tenders will be received by Mr Allan up to Saturday, the 28th inst., 5 o’clock p.m.

The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

Monday, 13th February, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sale by auction of the exclusive right to depasture stock on sections 1, 2, and 3 (being Clutha Sand Spit), Coast district, for 1871, will take place at the Auction Rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Monday the 13th day of February next at noon. Upset price of License £10.

Also, at the same time and place, Section 31, Block I, Claredon District, will be offered for sale by auction, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

Forms of Return and Licenses may be had at the Land Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill, and from the Rangers.

HUNDREDS PASTURAGE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste Land Board has agreed to extend the time for receiving the return of Stock desired to be depastured on the Hundreds, for the year 1871, to the 1st February, 1871; and settlers are informed that the provisions of the Act will be enforced after that date.

Clause 4 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866, Amendment Act 1869” enacts that the persons whose names shall be included in the published lists of those who have deposited the return above referred to, to whom licenses shall be issued, and who shall have paid the assessment for the past year, shall have the exclusive right of pasturage on the Waste Lands within the Hundreds.

Those only who may purchase Waste Lands after the 1st February next will have pasturage rights apportioned to them after that date.

Forms of Return and Licenses may be had at the Land Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill, and from the Rangers.
