Of Impounding Notices:

  • 9th December, Friday, noon, a mare will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.
  • 9th December, Friday, noon, a cow and four bullocks will be sold at Caversham Pound.
  • 16th December, Friday, noon, a large lot of cattle will be sold at Waipahuna West Pound.
  • 16th December, Friday, noon, a heifer will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.
  • 16th December, Friday, noon, a mare and a gelding will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.
  • 16th December, Friday, noon, a mare will be sold at Lawrence Pound.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Monday, the 19th December, 1870, for Contract No. 58.—Survey of about 2,800 acres in the Winton District into Sections of from ¼ acre to 40 acres each.

Plan and specification may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Survey Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill.

Tenders to be accompanied by a deposit or marked cheque for 10 per cent. of the amount, and to be endorsed "Tender for Survey Contract No. 38."

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

CLUTHA COAL FIELD.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, the 13th December, 1870, from parties willing to lease the Clutha Coal Fields, and plant connected therewith, for the term of seven years. Tenders to state the amount of rent per annum, payable half-yearly in advance.

A list of the plant can be seen at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Balclutha.

For further information apply at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Monday, the 19th December, 1870, for Contract No. 59, survey of 400 acres near Dunkeld (Beaumont Ferry) into sections of from 10 to 20 acres each.

Plan and specification may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Survey Office, Dunedin. Tenders to be accompanied by a deposit of ten per cent. on the amount, and to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 59."
