IMPOUNDED on the 16th day of November, 1870, by Francis Townsend: one strawberry Cow, no visible brand; owner unknown; for trespassing on his paddock at Burnside; for which no damage is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cow will be sold at the Public Pound at Caversham on Friday, 9th December, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—JOHN ANDERSON, Poundkeeper of the Caversham Pound.
IMPOUNDED, on the 21st day of November, 1870, by John Sidey, one White Bullock, branded B off rump, one Red Bullock, branded B off rump, one Strawberry Bullock, docked tail, branded B in circle near shoulder and H on off ribs, one Brindled Bullock, branded Z off rump; owners unknown, for trespassing on Mr. Sidey’s Paddock near Green Island, for which he claims special damages for the first two to the amount of £1 10s each for 20 weeks’ grazing, and the ordinary damages upon the last two to the amount of 2s 6d each; and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Caversham on Friday, the 9th day of December, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—JOHN ANDERSON, Poundkeeper of the Caversham Pound.
THE undersigned, Robert Elliott Dagg, hereby make application to register “The Royal Standard Quartz Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of the “Mining Companies Limited Liability Act 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—
- The name and style of the Company is “The Royal Standard Quartz Mining Company, Registered.”
- The place of operations is at Pipeclay Gully, Carrick Range.
- The nominal capital of the Company is eight thousand four hundred pounds, in fifty-six shares of one hundred and fifty pounds each.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE.—The Co-partnership existing between William Bailey and Alexander Humphrey, carrying on business as Carpenters and Wheelwrights, in the Town of Lawrence, under the firm of “Humphrey and Company,” was dissolved by mutual consent, as of the 12th day of February, 1870.
SUPREME COURT.—Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the fifth day of December next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses are required to give their attendance.
Notice is hereby further given, that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday the thirteenth day of December at ten o’clock in the forenoon.
