HAMPDEN ROAD DISTRICT.—Ratepayers are

requested to pay the amount of their respective
rates to me, at my store, on or before the 19th Novem-

WAREPA ROAD BOARD.—The Rate Roll, re-

vised and corrected for 1870-71, lies open for
inspection to ratepayers within the district.—T. H.

WAIWERA ROAD DISTRICT.—Ratepayers are

requested to pay the amount of their respective
rates to me, at the School-house, Waiwera, before the

MERTON ROAD DISTRICT.—Ratepayers are

requested to pay the amount of their respective
rates to me, at my house, on or before the 24th Novem-

NORTH MOLYNEUX ROAD BOARD.—Rate-

payers are requested to pay the amount of their
respective rates to me, at Post Office, Irish Clutha, on
or before 12th day of November next.—C. V. Brewer,

SANDYMOUNT ROAD DISTRICT.—The precept

authorising the collection of the Highway Rate
in the above-named district for the year 1870-71 having
been issued, ratepayers are requested to pay the
amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on

THE NORTH HARBOR AND BLUESKIN ROAD BOARD

hereby give notice that a precept authorising
the collection of the Highway Rates of Threepence
per acre in the above-named district having been issued
by the General Road Board for the year 1870-71;
Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their
respective rates to me, at Mr. Quayle's Store,
Bank, on the 29th and 30th November next.—Duff
Ellis, Clerk and Collector. 31st Oct., 1870.

PORTOBELLO ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is

hereby given to the Ratepayers in Hooper's Inlet,
Papanui, and Arthur's Seat Wards. The Collector will
be at Portobello Schoolhouse on Saturday, nine-
teenth November, from 12 to 2 p.m., to collect the Rates
for the present year.—Joseph Young, Clerk. Portobello,

HALGROVE ROAD DISTRICT.—The precept

for the Highway Rate for the current year having
been issued, Notice is hereby given that the said Rate
is payable to me at my house, Bellgrove, on or before
the 19th November next.—Alexander Young, Clerk
and Collector. Hampden, 27th October, 1870.

MAUNGATUA ROAD DISTRICT.—NOTICE.

Parties who have not paid their Road Rates for year
1870-71, are requested to do so within 21 days from
this date, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken to
recover the same, without further notice.—James Sim,
Collector. Maungatua, 24th October, 1870.

IMPOUNDED.—One bay Horse, branded K on off

shoulder, impounded by Mr. Roberts, Kurrawao
Station, Popotunoa, and if not claimed, will be sold at
the Public Pound at Popotunoa, on Friday, the 18th
day of November, 1870, at noon. T. Pollock, Pound-
keeper, Popotunoa Pound.

NOTICE.—The Co-partnership existing between

William Bailey and Alexander Humphrey, carrying
on business as Carpenters and Wheelwrights, in the
Town of Lawrence, under the firm of "Humphrey and
Company," was dissolved by mutual consent, as of the
12th day of February, 1870.

STATEMENT of the affairs of the "Benlomond

Water Race and Gold Mining Company, Regis-
