TENDERS WANTED for Schoolhouse, at Sandymount. Plans and Specifications will be seen at Education Office, or with Mr. M’Donald, Sandymount, who will point out the School site.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

The term of seven years. Tenders to state the amount of rent per annum, payable half-yearly in advance.

A list of the plant can be seen at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Balclutha.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE.—Tenders will be received by the Broad Bay Road Board, for the clearing and reforming of the Track along the Beach.

Specifications can be seen at the house of Mr. Raynbird; also at the house of Mr. Allan, Portobello road, till 12 noon, 29th instant. Mr. Raynbird will show intending contractors the work between 10 and 11 o’clock on that date.


EAST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—Tenders will be received by Mr. James Aitkin, until 3rd November, for forming and metalling 60 chains, more or less, of road line in the above district. Also, for laying down 800 yards, more or less, of sustenance metal on roads already formed.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.—George Robertson, Clerk to Board. 10th October, 1870.


NOTICE.—KAIHIKU ROAD BOARD.—Tenders will be received until Nov. 4, 1870, for the construction of Bridges over Kaihiku and Paiwata Streams, and for forming portions of Bush and Clifton Roads. Plans and Specifications to be seen at the Schoolhouse. Lowest or any tender may not be accepted by the Board.—T. Paterson, Clerk.


HIGHCLIFF.—Tenders wanted for Breaking and Spreading about 210 cubic yards of Road Metal on No. 1 Road.

Also, about 235 yards on No. 2 Road.

And also, for Clearing Bush and Forming a ten feet road; at per lineal chain.

The local Inspectors will meet intending contractors at the Schoolhouse, on Saturday, 5th Nov., at 1 o’clock p.m., to point out the works.

MILBURN ROAD BOARD.—Tenders will be received up to Monday, 7th November, at 6 p.m., by Mr. James Blues, Chairman to the Board, for a large quantity of works, consisting of Road Formation, Ditching, and Stone Culverts, with about 1500 cubic yards of metal.

The ground will be shown for the West Ward Works on Tuesday, 1st Nov., commencing at Mr. James Blue’s, at 10 a.m., and for the East Ward on the same day at 3 p.m., commencing at Mr. James M’Grouther’s.

OBSTORPHINE ROAD BOARD.—Tenders will be received by the undersigned up to noon on the 10th Nov. prox., for the Formation of Roads in the above district.

Also, Supplying about 500 yards of metal.

Specifications to be seen at the Rose, Thistle, and Shamrock Hotel, Green Island.

Messrs. Dempster and Faulds, Local Inspectors, will attend at 12 noon on Wednesday and Thursday, the 2nd and 3rd prox., to point out the works to intending contractors.—J. J. Eagleson, Chairman.

56 ACRES—being Sections 49 to 66, Block I, North Harbour and Blueskin District, adjoining the road from Port Chalmers to Blueskin, containing 10 to 16 acres each of Manuka Timbered Land, will be offered for sale by auction in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 31st day of October, 1870, at the upset price of 25s. per acre.


Tuesday, 1st November, at Noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the following allotments of rural land, with the buildings and improvements thereon, will be offered for sale by auction, as land of special value, in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 1st day of November 1870, at noon.

Block 3, Kuriwao District.

Section 2, containing 4a. 3r. 11p., upset price £300
„ 1, „ 26a. 1r. 24p. „ £60

The hotel, occupied by Mr. Pollock, is situated on section 2, and consists of bar, dining room, parlor, private room, four bedrooms on the ground-floor, and eight on the upper-floor. The out-buildings connected with the hotel consist of 9-stalled stable, cooking-house, blacksmith’s shop, barn, and stockyard.

Section 1 is partly fenced, and is now used as an accommodation paddock attached to the hotel.

Terms, 10 per cent. cash, balance within a month.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Section 2 of 39, Block II, Kaitangata District, containing 49a. 0r. 6p., will be offered for sale, by public auction, in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday the 7th day of November, 1870, at noon, at the upset price of £1 per acre.


NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will be received in the Land Office, Dunedin, for the Lease for seven years of Section 113, Block II, Papaikao District, 5a 1r 10p, up to noon of Monday, the 19th day of November, 1870. A deposit of 10 per cent. of first year’s rent to be made on lodging tender.


NOTICE is hereby given, that the following allotments will be offered for sale by public auction, in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 19th day of November, 1870, at noon, at the upset price of £1 per acre. If no offer is made at sale they will thereafter be open at £1 per acre, as ordinary rural land.
