✨ Road Stopping and Lease Cancellation
NOTICE
Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1870” Session XXVII copies of which maps or plans so far as they relate to the particular roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule have been deposited at the public School mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in such district:
Now therefore I William Alexander Tolmie, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1870” Session No. XXVII do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads or any of them are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads and to leave such statement addressed to me at my office in Dunedin within sixty days from the first publication hereof otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

- All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 2a 0r 16p more or less being a road line situate in the Tokomairiro Survey District bounded on the west by section No. 6 block XLVI 3500 links more or less and on the east by section 1 block XLII 3500 links more or less.
Plan to be seen at the school-house, Tokomairiro.
Blueskin Road District. (No. 2.)
- All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 3a 2r 0p, more or less, being a road line situate in the North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District bounded towards the north by sections numbered 1 and 2 block I 3050 links more or less and on the south by section No. 2 block I 3050 links more or less.
Plan to be seen at Schoolhouse, Blueskin.
Breadalbane Road District. (No. 3.)

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 0a 3r 38p more or less being a road line situate in the Taieri Survey District bounded on the north by section No. 61 irregular block 1650 links more or less and on the south by sections numbered 15 and 16 block XVIII East Taieri 1650 links more or less.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 0a 3r 14p more or less being a road line situate in the Taieri Survey District bounded on the west by section No. 62 irregular block and part of section No. 46 river section 1400 links more or less and on the east by section No. 61 irregular block and part of section No. 16 block XVIII East Taieri 1400 links more or less.

Beaconsfield Road District. (No. 4.)

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a 2r 24p more or less being a road line situate in the Waikouaiti Survey District bounded on the west by section No. 83 block I 1650 links more or less and on the east by section No. 83 block I 1650 links more or less.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 2a 3r 32p more or less being a road line situate in the Waikouaiti Survey District bounded on the west by sections numbered 5 and 4 block I 2950 links more or less and on the east by sections numbered 5 and 4 block I 2950 links more or less.
And whereas the Executive Government of the Province of Otago have determined to cancel the said lease as to so much and such part of the lands held under the same as are comprised within the area hereinafter described:
Now therefore I, William Alexander Tolmie, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the said Province in this behalf by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council, under the authority of the “Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1867,” and of any and every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby cancel the said lease, in so far as the lands comprised within the area hereinafter described are affected by the said lease, but no further or otherwise (that is to say):
All that area in the Province of Otago, Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement five hundred and six (506) acres two (2) roods and six (6) poles, more or less, situate in the Wendon district, being sections numbered 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 39, block I, on the map of the said district: bounded towards the north-east and north-west by Domeburn, nine thousand (9000) links, towards the south-east by section numbered 16 and a road line one thousand one hundred and thirty-five (1135) links, and section numbered 14, two thousand two hundred and eighty-seven (2287) links, also a road line five hundred and thirty (530) links; towards the north-east by a road line four thousand and fifty-nine (4059) links, and section numbered 14, one thousand and twenty-two (1022) links, also a road line six hundred and twenty-five (625) links; towards the north-east and south-east by a road line six thousand eight hundred (6800) links; towards the south-west by a road line four thousand one hundred and four (4104) links, section numbered 40, three thousand three hundred and twenty-nine (3329) links, and a road line four thousand six hundred (4600) links; towards the north-west by a road line, sections numbered 23 and 29, and a road line six thousand and sixty-three (6063) links, and part of section numbered 38, one thousand six hundred and forty-eight (1648) links, intersected by a road one hundred (100) links wide, and also a road fifty (50) links wide.
Also, all that area in the Province of Otago aforesaid, containing by admeasurement one hundred and forty-one (141) acres two (2) roods and thirty-eight (38) poles, more or less, situate in the Wendon District, being sections numbered 1, 2, and 3, block I, on the map of the said district: bounded towards the north-east by section numbered 4, three thousand three hundred and thirty-six (3336) links; towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by a road line and Garvie Creek, eight thousand three hundred (8300) links; towards the north-west by a road line three thousand nine hundred and eight (3908) links.
