Dickinson, Portobello Road, for trespassing on Main Road at Anderson’s Bay; and in default of being released, the above cow will be sold at the Public Pound at Anderson’s Bay on Friday, the 23rd day of August, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—Hugh Ross, Poundkeeper of the Anderson’s Bay Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 31st day of August, 1870, by Mr. Robert Chalmers, for trespassing in his paddock, six steers and two heifers, branded P near rump; likewise one roan cow and calf, branded like V C off rump; one yellow cow, I on rib; one white cow, blotch brand of rib; two red and white heifers, no brand; one red and white cow, blotch brand; and strawberry heifer, no brand; for trespassing on Gold Commonage, for which one pound damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Tokomairiro on Friday, the 23rd day of September, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—James Goodall, Poundkeeper of the Tokomairiro Pound.

RICHARD W. NICHOLS hereby gives notice to the Education Board, and to others whom it may concern, that it is his intention to fence the Boundary Line between Sections 169, 170, 171, and Sections 160, 172, and 173, Block II, Tuapeka East. Lawrence, 27th August, 1870. 3t. 9a.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership between the undersigned Alexander Jerusalem Smyth, John Howat, John Francis Herbert, Edward Herbert, and Archibald M’Kinlay, in the trades or businesses of Saw Mill Proprietors, Tallow Manufacturers, and Fellmongers, and all other trades or businesses in which they may be concerned as co-partners at Tapanui, in the Province of Otago, and elsewhere, under the firm of “Herbert, Smyth and Co.,” was this day dissolved by mutual consent, so far as concerns the said Alexander Jerusalem Smyth, and in future the business will be carried on by the said John Howat, John Francis Herbert, Edward Herbert, and Archibald M’Kinlay, under the name or style of “Herbert, Howat and Co.,” and who will pay and receive all debts owing from or to the said partnership in the regular course of trade.

I, THE UNDERSIGNED THOMAS HAZLETT, hereby make application to register “The Aurora Quartz Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular:

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Aurora Quartz Mining Company, Registered.”
  2. The place of operations is at Bendigo, in the Province of Otago.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is £7000, in 140 Shares of £50 each.
  4. The amount already paid up is £7000, being the estimated value of the mine and plant.
  5. The name of the Manager is Thomas Hazlett.
  6. The Office of the Company is at the Company’s mine at Bendigo, in the Province of Otago aforesaid.
