NOTICE is hereby given, that the following Rural Allotments will be offered for sale by auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, 7th October next, at noon, at the upset prices annexed:—

AN application having been received to purchase Section 2, Block I, Clyde: Notice is hereby given that it will be sold under the 27th clause of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866" to the present applicant, at the price of £12 10s., unless applications shall be received for the same before the 1st day of October, 1870, from other persons desirous of purchasing the said section.

WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—The Local Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the sitting of the General Road Board on the first Thursday of October, 1870, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of sixpence in the £ on all lands, houses, &c., in the district. The Assessment Roll for the above district may be inspected by the Ratepayers at the Schoolhouse, for fourteen days from the date of this notice.—GEORGE CROKETT, Clerk to Board. 24th Aug. 1870.

PINE HILL ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is hereby given, that a precept has been issued for an Acreage Rate of one shilling per acre, and the same is payable on or before 13th September. HENRY DUNCAN, Clerk and Collector. 4th August, 1870.

NORTH EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is hereby given, that a precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate in the above-named District, having been issued by the General Road Board; Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 12th day of September, 1870.—HENRY DUNCAN, Clerk and Collector. ALLDAY ROAD DISTRICT.—The Board hereby notifies its intention of applying, at the October sitting of the General Road Board, for leave and authority to levy a Highway Rate of 4d. (fourpence) per acre on all lands in the district. The Assessment Roll has been revised, and will lie for inspection of the ratepayers at the Schoolhouse for 14 days from date hereof.—ALEX. HERBERT ROAD DISTRICT.—The Board hereby give notice that they purpose applying to the General Board at the October sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of one shilling per pound of annual value on all lands, houses, mills, &c. in the district. NORTH MOLYNEUX.—Notice is hereby given by the North Molyneux Road Trustees that all Cattle found trespassing upon the roads within this district will be impounded.—C. V. BREWER, Clerk to Board. 1 September, 1870.

BUSHY ROAD BOARD.—Notice, it is the intention of the Bushy Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, in October, for authority to levy a highway rate of five pence (5d.) per acre for the year 1870. TE HOUKA LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Notice. Application by the above Road Board will be made to the General Road Board, at its meeting on the first Thursday in October, 1870, for permission to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling in the Pound for the current year of all lands, houses, and buildings in the above district.
