An application having been received to purchase Section 2, Block I, Clyde: Notice is hereby given that it will be sold under the 27th clause of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866" to the present applicant, at the price of £12 10s., unless applications shall be received for the same before the 1st day of October, 1870, from other persons desirous of purchasing the said section.

SUPREME COURT.---Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday the fifth day of September next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given, that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Monday, the twelfth day of September, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

ALL DAY ROAD DISTRICT.---The Board hereby notifies its intention of applying, at the October sitting of the General Road Board, for leave and authority to levy a Highway Rate of 4d. (fourpence) per acre on all lands in the district.

The Assessment Roll has been revised, and will be for inspection of the ratepayers at the Schoolhouse for 14 days from date hereof.---Alex. Pirie, Clerk. Otepopo, August 31, 1870.

HERBERT ROAD DISTRICT.---The Board hereby give notice that they purpose applying to the General Board at the October sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of one shilling per pound of annual value on all lands, houses, mills, &c., in the district.

WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.---The Local Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the sitting of the General Road Board on the first Thursday of October, 1870, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of sixpence in the £ on all lands, houses, &c., in the district.
