WEYMOUTH ROAD DISTRICT.—Election of Local Board of Road Trustees
In pursuance of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865," and the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865, Extension and Amendment Ordinance," I hereby convene a meeting of the persons liable to be rated for roads in the above-named district, such meeting to be held at the house of Messrs Johnston and Cuthbertson, within the said district, on Saturday, the 30th July, 1870, at noon, for the purpose of electing a Local Board of Road Trustees to serve for the year ending June, 1871.

Note.—The attention of ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th and 11th clauses of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865," for mode of procedure at electoral meetings.

Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Mining Lease
I HEREBY give notice that the application of Messrs. Urquhart and Hunter, for the "Root Hog or Die Company," for a lease of 6 acres of land for mining purposes of section 9, Glenorchy District, has been withdrawn by the applicants, and the said land is now open for occupation by persons holding miners’ rights or business licenses, or to applicants for leases, in the same manner as if no lease had ever been applied for.

Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Mining Lease
I HEREBY give notice that the application of George Borte, for "Rose of Denmark Company," for a lease for mining purposes of four (4) acres of land on the north side of Moonlight Creek, adjoining the Hit or Miss Company’s lease, Skippers Creek, has been withdrawn by the applicant, and the said land is now open for occupation by persons holding miners’ rights or business licenses, or to applicants for leases, in the same manner as if no lease for the said land had ever been applied for.

GUNPOWDER MAGAZINE
PARTIES in possession of, or who are prepared to erect, a suitable building in the vicinity of Dunedin, outside the boundaries, for the storage of gunpowder, are requested to communicate in writing, to me, on or before the 18th July, 1870, giving a description of the proposed building, how far situated from other buildings, the rate proposed to be charged for storage, with any other information deemed useful.

ELECTION of Local Boards Road Trustees.—Ratepayers in the undermentioned Road District having failed to elect a Local Board to serve for the year ending June, 1871, notice is hereby given that a Meeting is appointed to be held for the purpose of electing five duly qualified persons to serve as a Local Board as under:—
