✨ Mining Leases, Road Trustees, Tenders
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the "Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts 1867, 1868, and 1869," for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 29th day of July.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Queenstown.

NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR MINING LEASES
HEREBY give notice that the application of Lawrence Matthewson and others, known as the Victoria Company, Hyde, for a lease for mining purposes of ten (10) acres of land in Maori Gully, Hyde, has been withdrawn by the applicants, and that the said land is now open for occupation by persons holding miners’ rights or business licenses, or to applicants for leases, in the same manner as if no lease of the said land had ever been applied for.

Ratepayers in the undermentioned Road District having failed to elect a Local Board to serve for the year ending June, 1871, Notice is hereby given, that a meeting is appointed to be held for the purpose of electing five duly qualified persons to serve as a Local Board as under:—

In pursuance of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865," and the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865, Extension and Amendment Ordinance," I hereby convene a meeting of the persons liable to be rated for roads in the above-named district, such meeting to be held at the house of Messrs Johnson and Cuthbertson, within the said district, on Saturday, the 30th July, 1870, at noon, for the purpose of electing a Local Board of Road Trustees to serve for the year ending June, 1871.

PARTIES in possession of, or who are prepared to erect, a suitable building in the vicinity of Dunedin, outside the boundaries, for the storage of gunpowder, are requested to communicate in writing to me, on or before the 18th July, 1870, giving a description of the proposed building, how situated from other buildings, the rate proposed to be charged for storage, with any other information deemed useful.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Monday, 18th July, for the Survey of 2500 acres in Crookston District, Run 178, into 50-acre sections. Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the Survey Office, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 52," and to be accompanied by the usual deposit.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Monday, 25th July, for Contract 53, Survey of about 2500 acres, Block III, Benger District, Run 200, into 50-acre sections. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Survey Office, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 53," and to be accompanied by the usual deposit.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
