A SHLEY DOWNS ROAD DISTRICT.—Election of Local Board of Road Trustees: In pursuance of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” and the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865 Extension and Amendment Ordinance,” I hereby convene a meeting of the persons liable to be rated for roads in the above-named district, such meeting to be held at the house of Mr. Geo. Gibson, within the said district, on Saturday, 6th July, 1870, at noon, for the purpose of electing a Local Board of Road Trustees to serve for the year ending June, 1871.

NOTE.—The attention of ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th, and 11th Clauses of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865” for mode of procedure at electoral meetings.

ABSTRACT FROM PREVIOUS GAZETTES of Impounding Notices:—
24th June, Friday, at noon, a colt, a cow and a calf will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.
1st July, Friday, noon, a white bull will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.
1st July, Friday, noon, a red heifer will be sold at the Pound in Tokomairiro, of which Mr. Thomas Bradley is keeper.
1st July, Friday noon, a black horse will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.
8th July, Friday noon, a black horse will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Monday, the 4th July, for
Contract No. 51.—Survey of about 2,600 acres. Spotting Applications in Wyndham, Waikaka, Waipori, Toetoes, Tuturau, and Waipahee Districts.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Survey Office, Dunedin.
Tenders to be accompanied by a deposit of 10 per cent of the amount, and to be endorsed “Tender for Survey Contract No. 51.”
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted;

FRESH TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, until noon of Monday, the 4th July, for
Contract No. 50.—Survey of 2000 acres in Coneburn District, Run 345, into 50 acre sections.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Survey Office, Dunedin. Tenders to be accompanied by a deposit or marked cheque for 10 per cent. of the amount, and to be endorsed—“Tender for Survey Contract, No. 50.”

NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 13 to 22, Block X, Tuapeka East District, small sections adjoining Wetherston, will be offered for sale by public auction, subject to valuation for improvements, by Mr. J. M. Nicolson, at Wetherston, immediately after the sale of that township on Saturday, the 16th day of July next, at noon.
