The Schedule Above Referred to:
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement fifty (50) acres more or less situate in Strath Taieri District being section numbered one (1) block nine (IX) on the map of the said district:
bounded towards the north-west by Crown Lands one thousand five hundred and eighty-two (1582) links and one thousand two hundred and seven (2007) links and one thousand one hundred and fifty-six (1156) links towards the south-east by Crown Lands one thousand five hundred and eighty-two (1582) links and towards the south-west by Crown Lands one thousand four hundred and fifty-six (1456) links and one thousand seven hundred and seven (1707) links and intersected by a road-line one hundred (100) links wide.

Public Notification
In conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden, at Lawrence, on or before the 15th day of June, 1870.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Lawrence.

Notice is hereby given, that the Government have sanctioned the withdrawal of the application of William Livingston, for a Mining Lease of 3 acres of land situate at Blue Spur.

Notice is hereby given, that the Government have cancelled the Mining Lease certificate issued to Henry Shaw, for section 22 Mid-Wakatipu, and the said section is now open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights.

Notice is hereby given, that John M’Allister having failed to execute the Agricultural Lease prepared in his favor for section 34, block VII, Wai-tahuna East, the same has been cancelled, and the land is now open for application under the Agricultural Lease Regulations.

Tenders Wanted
Ahuriri Road Board:
Tenders wanted for two separate contracts. Mr. W. T. Scrimgeour will show contract No. 7 on Friday, 3rd June. Mr. Robert M’Lay will show contract No. 8 on the same day. Tenders will be received by the Clerk to the Board till Monday, 6th June, 1870.

Tomahawk Local Road Board:
Tenders wanted by the Tomahawk Local Road Board for forming a portion of road at the Lagoon, Block VII. Messrs Stewart and Matheson will point out the works on Monday, the 6th June at 12 o’clock noon.

Deborah Bay Road Board:
Tenders will be received by the undersigned till noon on Saturday, the 11th June, 1870, for clearing 50 chains, more or less, of bush from Road No. 1, Deborah Bay Road District. Mr. Thomas Knewstubb will show the work on Thursday, the 9th June, at 10 o’clock a.m., at whose house intending contractors will meet.
