PROCLAMATION
Varying the Boundaries of the Road District of
Crown Lands.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts:
And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the boundaries of the Crown Lands, in manner and as described on the map of the said Township, deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement two (2) acres, and eight (8) poles, more or less, situate on Run 109, and being Sections numbered respectively 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block I, Maerewhenua Township, and street line fronting the same; bounded towards the north-east by Crown Lands, seven hundred (706) links; eight hundred (800) links; and seven hundred (700) links towards the north-west by Crown Lands, six hundred (600) links; one thousand and fifty (1150) links, and six hundred (600) links; towards the south-east by Crown Lands, seven hundred (700) links; eight hundred (800) links, and seven hundred (760) links; and towards the south-west by Crown Lands, six hundred (600) links; one thousand and fifty (1150) links; and six hundred (600) links, as the same is delineated on the map of the said Township, deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

Te Houka.

And whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the boundaries of the Te Houka Road District, in manner and as described in Schedule hereto: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of said Province, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Te Houka Road District, shall, from the day of the date hereof, be altered, and that the boundaries of the said District shall henceforth be as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Te Houka Road District
All that area in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, bounded on the north-east by the Clutha River, from the confluence of the Waiwera Stream to the Main South Road to the eastern boundary of the Kaihiku Road District, and by the northern boundaries of Kaihiku and Waiwera Road Districts; and towards the west by the eastern boundary of the Kaihiku Road District and the Waiwera Stream, from the northern boundary of the said Kaihiku Road District to the Clutha River.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts:
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the Popotunoa Road District, in manner and as described in Schedule hereto: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of said Province, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Popotunoa Road District shall, from the day of the date hereof, be altered, and that the boundaries of the said District shall henceforth be as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Popotunoa Road District
Comprises all that area in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, bounded on the north by the Pomahaka and Clutha rivers; on the east by the Waiwera river; on the south by the southern boundary of Block II, Kuriwao Survey District; on the south-west by the south-western boundary of Block I, Kuriwao Survey District, and the same line continued in a north-westerly direction to the Waipahi Survey District; towards the west by the Waipahi Survey District along the boundaries of Blocks IX and XI, Pomahaka Survey District, to the Waiwera Stream, and by the said Waiwera Stream to the Pomahaka River.

PROCLAMATION
Incholme Road District—Powers Suspended—Commissioner appointed.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted in the 12th section thereof, that if any Local Board shall refuse or neglect to carry the said Ordinance into operation, the Superintendent may, with the advice of the General Road Board, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare the powers of such Board to be suspended, and may, by such Proclamation, appoint a Commissioner, or such number of Commissioners as he may think fit for each district; and the several rights, privileges, and duties of such Board shall, from the date of such Proclamation, vest in and be exercised by such Commissioner or Commissioners on behalf of the Board:
And whereas the Local Board of the Incholme Road District have neglected to carry this said Ordinance into operation, and it is therefore deemed expedient...
