NOTICE TO DISTRICT ROAD BOARDS, &c.—
The following portion of Section IX of the Otago Roads Ordinance 1865, is published for the information of Local Boards, &c.:-
"No person elected a member of any such Local Board shall directly or indirectly derive any emolument or profit from any business or work of any description performed or to be performed by him under this Ordinance nor be capable while he holds office of enjoying any place of profit to be created or established by virtue of this Ordinance."
Note.—The Government has not been able to pass some of the Local Board accounts in consequence of the provisions of the above Section of the said Ordinance not having been observed.
CITY OF DUNEDIN.
Court for the Revision of the Citizens’ Roll, year 1869-1870.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Court for the Revision of the Citizens’ Lists, year 1869-70, will sit at the City Council Chambers, Princes Street, on Monday, the twelfth day of July, 1869, at the hour of noon.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Court for the Revision of the Citizens’ Lists, year 1869-1870, will sit at the City Council Chamber, Princes Street, on Monday, the 12th day of July instant, at the hour of noon.

Nominations for the Mayoralty, for the year ending 1st August, 1870.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Nomination of Candidates for Election to the Office of Mayor for the Municipal Year ending 1st August, 1870, will be declared on Friday, the 16th day of July instant, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, at the hour of noon.
Nominations must be in form of Schedule D., of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and be lodged at the Office of the Town Clerk, Princes Street, where blank forms may be had—on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.

IN Terms of Clause 42 of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865.” Public notice is hereby given, that Alphabetical Lists of Claims for insertion in the Citizens’ Roll, year 1869-1870, may be inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office, Princes Street; at the Old Police Barracks, Princes Street, South; at the Odd Fellows’ Hall, George Street; and at the Grand Stand of the Caledonian Society, off Great King Street.
