GEORGE FACER, Esq.,
of Clyde, in the Province of Otago, to be Official Agent, subject to the provisions contained in the said Act, in and for the Mining District of the Otago Gold Fields, vice H. J. Cope, Esq., resigned, and doth hereby require of the said George Facer security by bond, with two approved sureties, in the form and to the amount specified in the Schedule hereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of March, 1869.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Salmon and Trout Act 1867,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, by Order in Council published in the Government Gazette, from time to time to declare that, in any part or parts of the Colony, the fish mentioned in the second section of the said Act, or any other fish, shall be protected, and come under the operation of such of the provisions of the said Act as may be specified in such Order in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Colony, doth hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers for that purpose vested in him by the said Act, declare that in the Province of Otago the fish mentioned in the second section of the said Act shall be protected, and come under the operation of all the provisions of the said Act.

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:
WHEREAS by “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from time to time to appoint polling places for each Electoral District, within or without the limits thereof, and to appoint any one of such places to be the principal polling place for the district, and all or any of such polling places at any time to abolish, and to appoint other polling places in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority in him vested by the said Acts, doth hereby appoint the following place to be an additional polling place for the Electoral District hereinafter specified, for the election of Members of the House of Representatives, namely:
For the District of Waikouaiti:

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

BRYAN CECIL HAGGITT, Esq.,
JOHN TURNBULL THOMSON, Esq., and
GEORGE COOK, Esq.,
to inquire into and report upon the mode of preparing Crown Grants of land in the Colony of New Zealand, and particularly to inquire into the mode of describing the land comprised in such grants, both by words and by plans, and as to any alterations and improvements which may be made in such mode; and His Excellency has also appointed the said Bryan Cecil Haggitt to be the Chairman of the said Commission.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the “Salmon and Trout Act, 1867,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, by Order in Council under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, from time to time to delegate to the Superintendent or to the Provincial Executive of any Province, or to such other person as the Governor may think fit, all or any of the powers vested in the Governor or the Governor in Council by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Colony, doth hereby, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities for that purpose vested in him by the said Act, and by “The Governor’s Delegation Act 1867,” delegate to the Executive Government of the Province of Otago all the powers vested in the Governor or the Governor in Council by “The Salmon and Trout Act 1867,” exercisable within the Province aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House, at Wellington, and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twenty-fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
