ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, the tenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
Present:
His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent;
Arthur John Burns; and
John Hughes, Esquires.
Members of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago, being also Members of the Provincial Council of the said Province.
WHEREAS by Proclamation, bearing date the twenty-third day of June last past, made by the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 553, under the hand of the said Superintendent of the Province of Otago, and under the public seal of the said province, the said Superintendent did appoint the several districts described in the first Schedule thereto to be Depasturing Districts, and did make certain Regulations for the depasturing of stock upon the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Otago Gold Field: And whereas by an Order in Council, bearing date the sixth day of October last past, published in the said Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 574, the said Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the said Executive Council of the said Province, did thereby revoke certain of the said regulations so made and published on the said twenty-third day of June last as aforesaid, and did make the Regulations therein contained in lieu thereof, and in addition to the said Regulations, so made and published as aforesaid: And whereas it is expedient to appoint the area described in the Schedule hereto a Depasturing District under the said Regulations, and to make provision for issuing depasturing licenses in the said district:
Now therefore His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province of Otago, doth by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the Province of Otago in this behalf, and of the said Regulations, hereby appoint the area described in the said schedule hereto to be a Depasturing District under the said Regulations, to be called the Mount Benger Depasturing District, and doth appoint the Receiver of Gold Revenue at Mount Benger as and to be the person to receive applications and to issue licenses for the depasturing of stock within the said district, until a Board of Wardens shall be duly elected for the said district.
The Schedule above referred to.
The Mount Benger Depasturing District shall comprise all that area situate in the south-eastern district of the Province of Otago, containing twenty thousand acres more or less, and bounded by a line proceeding from Mount Benger in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of Run 368 to White Coomb; thence due north two and a-half miles; thence due east to the boundary of Run 369; and thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of the said Run 369 to Mount Benger the starting point.

Foot Constable Donald Boyd, No. 518, to be Gaoler at Switzers, vice Morkane removed.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works until noon of Monday, 1st March, for—
Contract No. 367—Flooring and Pitching the Shed at Rattray street Jetty.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 367.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership between the undersigned Henry Cable, Duncan Drummond, and James Wright, in the trade and business of cattle dealers and slaughtermen, at Waipori, under the firm or style of Jas. Wright and Co., in so far as concerns the said Henry Cable and Duncan Drummond only and not otherwise, was this day dissolved by mutual consent, and in future the business will be carried on by the said James Wright on his own account, and the said James Wright will pay all debts owing by James Wright, H. Cable, D. Drummond, and receive all debts owing to the said partnership, in the regular course of trade.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.—Notice is hereby given, that the partnership hitherto existing between Henry Smith Fish, and Henry Smith Fish the younger, as decorators, painters, paperhangers, and oil and colourmen, under the style of H. S. Fish and Son, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
The business will in future be carried on by Mr. Henry Smith Fish the younger, under the style of H. S. Fish and Son. All debts due by or to the old firm will be paid and received by Mr. H. S. Fish the younger.
