PROCLAMATION:
Appointing the Port of Dunedin a port for the importation of Sheep by Sea into the Province of Otago.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the twentieth section of the “Sheep Ordinance 1867,” it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, by Proclamation to be published in the Provincial Government Gazette, from time to time to appoint a port or ports for the importation of sheep by sea: And whereas it is deemed expedient to appoint the Port of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, a port for the importation of sheep by sea: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago, proclaim and appoint the said Port of Dunedin as and to be until further notice, a
port for the importation of sheep by sea into the Province of Otago.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

directs it to be notified that he has been pleased to appoint
Percival Power, of Dunedin, Esquire,
to be a Sheep Inspector for the Province of Otago, without salary.
