PROCLAMATION

Varying and altering the Licensing District of Dunedin, so as to include the Taieri Licensing District, under the “Licensing Ordinance, 1865.”

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS it is expedient to vary and alter the Licensing District of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, so as to include therein the Taieri Licensing District:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me, under the eleventh section of the Licensing Ordinance 1865, and of any and every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf; do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, and until further notice, Dunedin Licensing District, as proclaimed in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 465, by a proclamation bearing date the fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, shall be altered, and that the boundaries of the said Dunedin Licensing District shall hereafter include the area following, being the same area as was proclaimed on the said fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, as the Taieri Licensing District (that is to say)

All that area bounded towards the north by a line proceeding from the western watershed of the Upper Taieri River due east through Rock and Pillar Mountain to the Waikouaiti Licensing District; towards the east by the Waikouaiti and present Dunedin Licensing Districts; towards the south by the Taieri River, Waihola Lake, and Meggat Burn to the boundary of the Hun...

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago at Dunedin, in the said Province, this third day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, the seventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

Present:

His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent,
Arthur John Burns, and
John Hughes, Esquires,
Members of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago, being also Members of the Provincial Council of the said Province.

WHEREAS by Proclamation, bearing date the twenty-third day of June last past, made by the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 553, under the hand of the said Superintendent of the Province of Otago, and under the public seal of the said Province, certain Regulations were made for the depasturing of stock upon the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Otago Gold Field:
