HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT has been pleased to appoint Mounted Sergeant CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH NADEN, to be Deputy Registrar of Brands for the District of Otago, as described in the Order in Council of 5th July, 1864, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the 11 and 12 Sections of the "Branding Ordinance 1862."

REGULATIONS for the Hundred of Otepopo, for the year 1868:-
I. License-Holders shall be allowed to depasture one (1) head of great Cattle for every twenty-five (25) acres of land occupied or owned by them within the Hundred.
II. License-Holders shall be allowed to depasture, free of assessment, one (1) head of great Cattle for every seven (7) acres of unfenced purchased Land belonging to or leased by them within the Hundred.
III. No small Cattle shall be allowed to depasture at large within the Hundred without the consent of the Wardens in writing.
IV. The assessment for great Cattle shall be three shillings (3s.) per head, and for small Cattle, seven pence (7d.) per head.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the above-named Andrew M’Ginnell Brown has, upon the petition of the Bank of New Zealand, been this day adjudicated a bankrupt, and that the first meeting of creditors of the bankrupt will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the third day of November next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place the said Andrew M’Ginnell Brown is required, in his own proper person, to surrender.
