POSTPONEMENT OF SALE OF CROWN LANDS.

The Sale by Auction of Lands in the Hundreds of Waikouaiti, Hawksbury, and Moeraki, advertised to be sold by Messrs. Driver, Maclean & Co., on 26th August, has been postponed till Tuesday, the 15th day of September next.

SCHOOLMASTER WANTED.

Wanted, on 4th December next, for Otepopo District School, a duly qualified Schoolmaster. In addition to Schoolmastership, satisfactory evidence of experience and success in school management and teaching is indispensable. Salary £100, and all the school fees, with a stone residence. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged on or before the 4th September next, and to be addressed to the Secretary, School Committee, Otepopo.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named Isaac Barkley has been adjudicated a bankrupt, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said bankrupt will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 18th day of August, 1863, at 10 a.m., for the purpose of appointing a trustee of the estate and effects of the said bankrupt, and that the said bankrupt shall surrender at the time, hour and place aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Honorable Court hath this day adjudged THOMAS SWAYNE HARVEY, of Tokomairiro, farmer, a bankrupt; that Tuesday, the 18th day of August, 1868 at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, has been appointed for the first meeting of his creditors, and that the bankrupt is ordered then and there to surrender.

ORDER IN COUNCIL,

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1868.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by "The Petty Sessions Act 1858," it is enacted that the said Act shall come into operation in one or more of the Provinces of New Zealand respectively on such day or days to be fixed in respect of each of such Provinces by the Governor in Council, whereof notice shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and in the Gazette of the Province to which the same shall relate:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance and exercise of the power so vested in him as aforesaid, doth hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, appoint and fix the first day of August next to be the day on and from which "The Petty Sessions Act 1858," shall come into operation in the Provinces of Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough, Otago, and Southland, respectively.
